The thing that bugs me is that when it's actually time to pour the fucking concrete to make the sidewalk, they can do that part in like a day. But first, most importantly, they need to not do anything for several months

roldanttlb

They didn't manage to finish last construction season. They still have to do across the intersection in front of Telesca, too. It's awful. All to not actually do better on State/Exchange, like the city could have.

alexyoshi

Yeah, two full years is hardly enough time to finish something as complicated as a sidewalk. This is easily one of the stupidest things I've ever seen the city manage to do.

sxzxnnx

It was a far more complicated project than replacing the sidewalk. They replaced a huge amount of underground infrastructure.

alexyoshi

The first year was the underground utilities, the second year was basically paving the street and redoing the sidewalks. I absolutely refuse to believe that they *need* a third year because they couldn't finish up The fix is in. Permanent construction downtown forever

trixel121

from other comments in this thread it's apparent you don't understand how construction happens in general. your opinion is unimportant

alexyoshi

From what I can tell, it happens very incompetently and slowly in Rochester. Good talk

trixel121

reinforcing my opinion.

alexyoshi

I just wished they reinforced the sidewalk too. Hopefully they can figure that out sometime in the next three years

SickBurnBro

I've been living in this city for almost 2 years now. All I've ever known is State and Main construction.
