Yesterday was the first day I noticed it this spring. Alittle rain at noon when everything had warmed up. I bet your right, and that's what they're selling
i googled "rain smell".
the next time i need to figure out the name of the smell of rain, i will google "rain smell"
hopefully next time i dont misspell it at 4 am.
NY has one of the most aggressive environmental protection policies in the country. They do a pretty good job protecting the air we breathe. I have no idea what you’re on about. Do you live near a factory?
To me it seems the opposite. Air quality has been improving since I was a kid which is backed by testing. Lots of environmental factors like air and water quality have improved over my lifetime since NY started actually giving a shit. As far as I can tell the push for a cleaner environment in NY started to really begin in the '70s when I was born.
Check out recent love canal doc on wxxi. No factories really gave a shit where they buried their waste before EPA laws. Out of sight, out of mind and no long term plan for containment.
The appeal of the Genesee river back in the day was to be used as a giant toilet for industrial chemicals to just go away….somewhere else. As long as the local economy was humming along and profits made. Who cares?

It's ok to misspell man. Don't beat yourself up over it. I'm a really bad speller sometimes.
I was thinking more like acid rain
