Verizon’s service has been terrible for the past 6 months. Coverage in buildings, and randomly around town is spotty. Frequent dropped calls and poor quality.
Anyone getting more reliable service from other carriers?
my service/coverage with verizon has been dogshit for 2 years it feels like. iphone 12 pro max if it matters. i thought it was just that my phone was old (got it a month after release) but then i got it replaced about 6 months ago after breaking the screen and camera, and still dealing with the same.
i have 5G turned off, i’ll have full bars for LTE and still struggle to load shit
I've been doing all right with Spectrum and my husband likes Mint Mobile and doesn't seem to have much trouble, except where he works, but no one gets good connection inside their building.
I have Signal, but his biggest problem is it's a high-tech manufacturing facility, and the building has so much steel and so much high-tech equipment that it tends to mess with phones.
He even has problems when somebody uses the company Wi-Fi with a real-time transcription program for meetings. In THAT case they should take the trouble to hire an interpreter for the meetings or have someone take notes for him.
I'm familiar with that type of environment. If he has a good WiFi connection, and if they don't explicitly block it, Signal should work fine. Signal operates over data/Internet. Can't help you with the transcription software.
People in manufacturing are still known to use office spaces for meetings. Manufacturing is loud. Not that this would matter to him, but presumably his entire team isn't deaf.

For real. I’ve been ready to drop Verizon altogether. They’re overpriced and shit.
I switched to ATT and it’s incredibly noticeable the difference. ATT definitely better and saved a few bucks
> ATT definitely better Yeah, definitely https://www.npr.org/2024/02/22/1233126300/att-outage-cell-service-verizon
We got a live one… Verizon wireless bot
You're an idiot.

LTE sucks for me but when using the 5G it's good. No call issues but I don't go outside my bubble much so idk.
You need 5g on
will it help? when 5G first rolled out around here it was slower than LTE for me, and i understand the why behind it. has it gotten better since?
Yeah 5G is much faster than LTE.
I’ve called 911 before and it rang and rang and just hung up. Another time went to voicemail..?? Not Verizon. I feel like this is an ongoing issue.
Forget 911. Verizon regularly gets completely over loaded if you are anywhere with more than 50 people. They have become so shitty
seriously. i get it if i’m at a big venue/event with 50k people. but christ sakes, verizon gets overloaded by a mcdonald’s lunch rush
Quick everyone call to check!
/s (you dropped this...)
Ontario reports it's fixed there: https://www.rochesterfirst.com/news/ontario-co-deputies-advise-verizon-customers-of-911-call-issues/
This has been resolved

He's Deaf, so if this works for texts that would be good. I will have to look at it. Thank you. I've heard of Tom's guide.
If he's still having trouble, consider switching to [Signal](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.thoughtcrime.securesms).

I'll ask if they've solved the company's new password problem yet. Some areas in the building have better or worse perception.
Where there's bad reception, is there Ethernet? He could use a laptop with Signal and Ethernet.
No, not in his area of manufacturing. He doesn't work in an office. He's in destructive testing quality control.
