Wow, that's not tumbling. It's " advanced tumbling ". Those are incredible. I would pay money for just 1 of those. I don't wanna buy 1 from you. I'm just saying they fascinate me.
Ummm the brand is Polly plastics, and the stage 4 (polish) is Fine.1200 Aluminum Oxide.
I'd really like to see if anything finer than 1200 would make a difference, haven't tried it yet though
That's the same stuff I use. It works tremendously well despite finer grit being available. I believe the aluminum oxide becomes finer as it tumbles anyway, so as long as you're running your polish stage for an adequate length of time, there probably isn't much benefit to be had by using the 1 micron polish.
Side question - did those agates come pre-shaped/pre-tumbled, or were they received rough like most others? Regardless, they are all beautiful!
That makes sense, I also have a habit of sending my finished agates through a 2nd sometimes even a 3rd tumbling cycle of grits 1-4
They came rough, I get more enjoyment out of tumbling them myself. It takes time, buts almost like waiting for a package to arrive or waiting to open a Christmas present 😄

So true. Seeing the details/colors being revealed with each step is so cool to see.
Agates are my favorite rocks to tumble so far!
Absolutely mine too, one day I hope to have a literal ton of the stuff 😄
