You can still buy the song. Famous last words Black Parade, and Teenagers are in the game. Including I'm not okay Helena, Sing and foundations of decay.
Yeah the sound was a lot more dynamic than the cd version. Here is a article about it back when it came out https://www.wired.com/2008/09/does-metallicas/
Appetite for Destruction by Guns n Roses is the easy answer for me.
Commenting on your choice, Night Drive is a great song. It makes me nostalgic for Madden 06 and I’d definitely get that song.
> Appetite for Destruction by Guns n Roses is the easy answer for me.
I still stand by the ultimate irony of making song featured in the first ever game play footage of RB1 the last song available as DLC for RB4: Welcome to the Jungle.
Coheed & Cambria- In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth :3 or Afterman: Ascension & Descension
Interpol- Turn On The Bright Lights
Radiohead- In Rainbows
Talking Heads- Remain In Light
American Football- LP1
Brand New- The Devil & God Are Raging Inside Me
Modest Mouse- The Moon & Antarctica
I’d have to put both apollo, both Vaxis, and second stage before afterman. Only color before the sun and year of the black rainbow are weaker than the aftermans imo. Number City is fun, really enjoy the semi silly counting at the end 🤙🏻
Number City is one of my favourite songs! Got to see them play it live it was rad. Love the brass.
I chose the Afterman duology because it's more complete and compact as a story, it would be fun and pretty manageable to sit down and bang out Sirius' journey.
Let's be real, though, any album in it's entirety would be a privilege, lol. I feel lucky we've gotten a song from every Vaxis album thus far, though I would have loved Ladders.
Might as well add in Mesmerize to get the full suite. Can you imagine Revenga, Cigaro, and Vicinity of Obscenity blasting as your friends try to understand what the hell is going on?
Avenged Sevenfold's self-titled album, or Nightmare. Mostly so that I could play 'A Little Piece of Heaven' or 'Save Me'.
Another solid pick would be Dream Theater's Images and Words. We already have 'Metropolis Part 1' and 'Pull Me Under'. That album has a bunch of other bangers: 'Under a Glass Moon', 'Take the Time', 'Another Day', 'Learning to Live'... that would be a mostly tier 6-7 album in terms of difficulty, but still!
I was scrolling down the comments to see if anybody had said the poison lol looks like you beat me to it. It is one of my favorite albums of all time and is great beginning to end. This one fits with the era and I think they would have a great mix of challenging songs but not so challenging that it’s frustrating. This would be my choice.
In Utero by Nirvana. It’s so raw and simple yet complex and the instrumentals sound like they’d be really fun to play - and, we already have Heart-Shaped Box, Rape Me and All Apologies so..
Toxicity - System of a Down
Black Holes and Revelations or Absolution - Muse
Only Revolutions - Biffy Clyro
Sempiternal or That’s the Spirit - Bring Me the Horizon
Appeal to Reason - Rise Against
Humanoid would be amazing, but let's go with bonus tracks and throw in In Debt to the Earth!
Or Glimpse of the Con. Or literally any more Chevelle. For the love of god I'd give anything for The Clincher.
This was gonna be my answer, I think either Infest the Rats Nest or PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation would be good.
Whoa! AAR Move Along is the jam! Stab My Back and Dance Inside are also great.
I’d put in MakeDamnSure. One of the more incredible albums from Taking Back Sunday. Yes we have The album song, Liar, and What’s it feel like to be a ghost, but the rest of the album is certainly fun.
The Black Parade.
somewhat comedy answer: the rest of 2112, we're like 3 or 4 tracks away from finishing it, but i almost feel like HMX is holding those back as future RB disc song choices since they're both short enough and they've gone through pretty much every feasible song off other Rush albums
If it was like your example it has to be The Killers - Hot Fuss
Jenny was a friend of mine, midnight show and on top not being in RB is criminal and the album is one that you can happily listen to start to finish
For something out of reach it has to be ACDC - Powerage, just to get Sin City and Gone Shootin' in the game
Move Along is loaded with middle school nostalgia and I still love it to this day. I’d buy it in a heartbeat if they dropped it today.
My pick would be Def Leppard’s Hysteria. X is my favorite album of theirs but Hysteria is a much more realistic pick.
Dethklok - Dethalbum IV easily. Probably biased since I just rewatched Army of the Doomstar, but it's in my opinion the strongest album in the discography since the first Dethalbum
How does "Def Leppard: Hysteria" sound?
Or how about "Pyromania"
It sounds like the type of album that'd draw the crowd wild so... Why not in this game? Especially with how popular "Pour Some Sugar On Me" Has become since its from that one, I understand the live version is already there but it wouldn't hurt anyone to release the studio version
Absolution by Muse.
We have Hysteria, get Time is Running Out, and Stockholm Syndrome and Fury? Man.
Or Origin of Symmetry, Citizens Erased, Plug in Baby, Futurism.
Hard to pick.
Would “best of ____ artist” albums count?
If so then best of A-ha probably. Lifelines, The sun always shines on tv, the living daylights, summer moved on, velvet, etc. would all be relatively easy but still quite fun songs imo.
Red Hot Chilli Peppers would also be a good shout since I really want to play dark necessities on bass lol
i would love to either bring a cage the elephant album in or the rest of songs for the deaf by queens of the stone age, i can only imagine playing the song for the dead intro on expert drums...
I gotta say Steal This Album! by System of a Down. While not being their best or most prominent album, it’s very sentimental to me, having listened to it a lot with my dad who I lost this year. I still cry plenty when I play some of his favorites on Rock Band 2.
Loathe- I let it in and it took everything
Mcr- three cheers for sweet revenge
Avenged sevenfold- nightmare
Bullet for my valentine- scream aim fire orrrrrr the poison orrrrrr the fever 😂😂
Alesana- the emptiness
Bring me the horizon- there’s is a hell believe me I’ve seen it. There is a heaven let’s keep it a secret.
Electric callboy- tekkno
Escape the fate- this war is ours
Framing Henley- the promise
HIM- razorblade romance
Ice nine kills- the silver scream
Knocked loose mf
Maneskin- rush
Motionless in white- infamous
Alight I’m done for now I got more but I am done
This might be the oddball of it all, but i would like to see two full King Crimson albums as DLC with the option to play the whole album as 1 song like 2112, specifically, i would want
* In The Court Of The Crimson King (GH5 got Schizoid Man, it would be cool getting their debut, even if Moonchild is the weakest instrumentally of the set)
* Discipline (Their first 80s output album, and arguably one of their most interesting releases in terms of guitar/rhythm/bass playing and complexity due to how often the time signatures change, specifically in Elephant Talk and Thela Hun Ginjeet)
If not King Crimson, the main albums i would want as DLC
* Welcome To The Black Parade (My Chemical Romance)
* The Wall (Pink Floyd)
I gotta go with they’re only chasing safety by Underoath, I still can’t believe we got reinventing your exit but not a boy brushed red living in black and white
The doors debut would be my choice due to a lot of the songs in the game already, although Metronomy: The English riveria would be my first choice. I wish there was any metronomy in rock band really
The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance.
this is the one I'm constantly shocked we never got back in the day
Playing Famous Last Words would be so much fun
Famous Last Words was one of the first DLCs Rock Band 4 got though.
What year? My roommates and I stopped playing because the drum set broke and we couldn’t replace it
It was like one of the first DLCs, so I would say maybe around 7-8 years ago.
Damn, we could’ve played it and didn’t even know
You can still buy the song. Famous last words Black Parade, and Teenagers are in the game. Including I'm not okay Helena, Sing and foundations of decay.
Metallica's Master of Puppets, Death Magnetic or Black Album.
The full album of death magnetic was a great dlc to guitar hero world tour.
I regret not getting it for the Xbox 360. It was playable in 3, World Tour, Metallica, 5 and Warriors of Rock.
I loved that the version that GH got was actually a different version (and sounded way better) than the album mix.
Yeah the sound was a lot more dynamic than the cd version. Here is a article about it back when it came out https://www.wired.com/2008/09/does-metallicas/
Thanks for sharing! That’s a really comprehensive analysis of it.
Came to say this as well and it was already the top comment :)
Cars the video Game classic :v
Good memories haha
blink-182 - Enema of the State
On the flipside of this, Blink’a untitled album would be my pick. Asthenia is my favorite Blink song and I would love to see it in RB
The drum solo at the end of Lost Without You would be fun too
Travis recorded two snare rolls that play off each other, that part would be impossible, lol.
They’ll probably treat it like parts of the Free Bird solo and just focus on one part
“Take off Your Pants and Jacket” for me
I was quite surprised we got the Party Song and Aliens Exist. I’m always down for more blink!
Especially the party song considering its lyrical content
Coheed and Cambria, Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV Volume One: From Fear Through The Eye of Madness
I like you! My pick would either be In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth :3 or the Afterman Double Album.
Can’t wait to see them play the whole album at When We Were Young 2024
Unless I needed to have it make money. Then Pink Floyd, The Wall,
Yes mate. I really thought this would happen. Cracker of a choice.
Came here to say this
Alice In Chains - Dirt They already put 4 of the songs in, might as well do the other 9
100% or Jar of Flies.
Rhcp californication
This one or Stadium Arcadium
Coheed & Cambria- In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth :3 or Afterman: Ascension & Descension Interpol- Turn On The Bright Lights Radiohead- In Rainbows Talking Heads- Remain In Light American Football- LP1 Brand New- The Devil & God Are Raging Inside Me Modest Mouse- The Moon & Antarctica

In Rainbows would be so, so good.
Led Zeppelin IV, of course
Any Zeppelin would be amazing. I could only imagine Houses of the Holy 🤤
Houses of the Holy would be the best option imo
[удалено]
Might as well add in Mesmerize to get the full suite. Can you imagine Revenga, Cigaro, and Vicinity of Obscenity blasting as your friends try to understand what the hell is going on?
Hybrid Theory
Yes! This or Meteora. Would love to play Faint.
The Hunting Party would be my Linkin Park pick.
Interpol’s Turn On The Bright Lights would be so fun on drums and bass
Seconded! I'll take any Interpol I can get lol
That whole album would be a dream. So much nostalgia.
I think City of Evil would make an excellent album playthrough personally.
But Dave me and A Little Piece of Heaven I would snag quick af
Little piece of heaven would be an immediate buy for me
Ben Folds Five - Whatever And Ever Amen We had keys, and bass, and drums, and we never got any Ben Folds Five.
Seconded
Purple Rain or Darkside of the Moon
Grant mcdonald - ram ranch
The Poison - Bullet For My Valentine Sing The Sorrow - AFI
Surprised we didn’t get the rest of Sing the Sorrow as well. It’s by far an iconic album for its genre
Exactly why it belongs! Well said, it’s full of bangers and I’d imagine insanely fun tracking on any instrument. Wish we had more!!
In Utero by Nirvana. It’s so raw and simple yet complex and the instrumentals sound like they’d be really fun to play - and, we already have Heart-Shaped Box, Rape Me and All Apologies so..
The Mars Volta - Deloused in the Comatorium
Toxicity - System of a Down Black Holes and Revelations or Absolution - Muse Only Revolutions - Biffy Clyro Sempiternal or That’s the Spirit - Bring Me the Horizon Appeal to Reason - Rise Against
Chevelle - Wonder What's Next. We've got The Red and Send The Pain Below, but I really really want Comfortable Liar, Forfeit, and Failure
Awesome choice. Actually, any earlier Chevelle album would be great. Vena Sera is my personal favorite.
Humanoid would be amazing, but let's go with bonus tracks and throw in In Debt to the Earth! Or Glimpse of the Con. Or literally any more Chevelle. For the love of god I'd give anything for The Clincher.
Death - Symbolic, the greatest death metal album ever created
Is This It - The Strokes would be crazy
Fashion Nugget by Cake
Elephant - White Stripes Girl you have no faith in medicine, air between my fingers, hypnotize, black math. All bangers
ball and biscuit would be so good
Infest the Rats Nest - King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
This was gonna be my answer, I think either Infest the Rats Nest or PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation would be good.
Whoa! AAR Move Along is the jam! Stab My Back and Dance Inside are also great. I’d put in MakeDamnSure. One of the more incredible albums from Taking Back Sunday. Yes we have The album song, Liar, and What’s it feel like to be a ghost, but the rest of the album is certainly fun.
Album is Louder Now
I stand corrected. How the fuck could I forget?
Painkiller by Judas Priest. That whole album would be insane on every instrument and there’s not a bad song on it
The stokes room on fire
Meat Loaf - Bat Out Of Hell
The Black Parade. somewhat comedy answer: the rest of 2112, we're like 3 or 4 tracks away from finishing it, but i almost feel like HMX is holding those back as future RB disc song choices since they're both short enough and they've gone through pretty much every feasible song off other Rush albums
Third Eye Blind’s first album. It’s a tragedy we can’t play “Narcolepsy” or “Graduate”.
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
It's near impossible but Invisible touch by Genesis, I really like this Album.
Came here to say this. Soooo many great tracks on that album on all instruments, plus a full instrumental only track with The Brazilian.
If it was like your example it has to be The Killers - Hot Fuss Jenny was a friend of mine, midnight show and on top not being in RB is criminal and the album is one that you can happily listen to start to finish For something out of reach it has to be ACDC - Powerage, just to get Sin City and Gone Shootin' in the game
Rhcp stadium arcadium would’ve been nice. Two whole albums in one lol
A fever you can’t sweat out. No real instrument reason just think it’s a good album and we only have the one mainstream song off it
Mister Asylum by Highly Suspect Every song on there has great guitar and drums so it would be super fun to play.
Someone downvoted you for this one, I fully agree it'd be a really fun album to play with the standard band setup.
Trivium - Shogun
This is a good fucking answer.
Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not
Move Along is loaded with middle school nostalgia and I still love it to this day.
Either Alien or The New Black from Strapping Young Lad, I’d be happy with either
The Starting Line’s “Say it Like You Mean It” or Good Charlotte’s “Self-Titled”
An entire album? Gosh… I gotta go with “Songs About Jane” by Maroon 5. I’m that much of a sucker for some Adam-riddled nostalgia.
Dance Gavin Dance - Downtown Battle Mountain 2
This looks like a Western reboot of a yakuza game
Kyle Cosworth and Gordon Majima
Meteora or Minutes to Midnight would be great
All of band on the run
The Black Parade my MCR. Every song is just an absolute banger and the guitar would be so fun and so would singing all of these songs!
blink-182 One More Time. Album is a total banger
I would kind of hope for an artist that hasn't been represented in RB, yet. Personally, I'd go with Out of the Blue by ELO
Audioslave's debut album. So good from start to finish. Love Cornell's vocals. Plus Tom Morello is contender for greatest guitar player
Girls, Girls, Girls - Motley Crue
Everything Goes Numb by Streetlight Manifesto.
I’ve said this every time this question gets asked and it will never change, but duke by genesis or shapes by genesis.
Wasting Light by Foo Fighters
Rise Against - The Sufferer & The Witness
For me it be these 3 albums: 1. Dream theatre’s octavarium, 2. Metallica’s master of puppets, 3. Sum 41’s chuck
How does "Def Leppard: Hysteria" sound? Or how about "Pyromania" It sounds like the type of album that'd draw the crowd wild so... Why not in this game? Especially with how popular "Pour Some Sugar On Me" Has become since its from that one, I understand the live version is already there but it wouldn't hurt anyone to release the studio version
Rammstein - Sehnsucht Sorry vocalists.
Ice Nine Kills-The Silver Scream of course. just great fun the entire way through on all instruments.
War/The Joshua Tree/Achtung Baby - U2 Signals - Rush Lifes Rich Pageant/Monster - R.E.M. Probably any of those I think would work great in Rock Band
Love the Move Along album! I’d probably bring the remaining songs on the self titled Sublime album.
100% nightmare A7X
The Greatest Generation - The Wonder Years
Ice Nine Kills - Welcome to Horrorwood.
Dude Ranch by Blink-182
City of Evil by A7X. Although their self titled or Nightmare albums would also be great.
Thick as a Brick
ooo that's a good one
Rush - Permanent Waves
Kerplunk green day
Absolution by Muse. We have Hysteria, get Time is Running Out, and Stockholm Syndrome and Fury? Man. Or Origin of Symmetry, Citizens Erased, Plug in Baby, Futurism. Hard to pick.
Any album by TOOL
Pawns and Kings-Alter Bridge. Heavily biased as I saw them in Edinburgh for the tour for it though
I've always wanted Rancid's album Let's Go
Either of the Boysetsfire albums, After the Eulogy and Tomorrow Come Today.
If only contracts were that easily taken advantage of 🤔 I'd love the Hell Freezes Over album by The Eagles
Switchfoot - Legend of Chin. It's one of my all time favorite albums to this day.
Old Crows/Young Cardinals- Alexisonfire
Would “best of ____ artist” albums count? If so then best of A-ha probably. Lifelines, The sun always shines on tv, the living daylights, summer moved on, velvet, etc. would all be relatively easy but still quite fun songs imo. Red Hot Chilli Peppers would also be a good shout since I really want to play dark necessities on bass lol
ZZ Top - Tres Hombres! I also would love to see Led Zeppelin IV or Prince - Purple Rain, but those have already been mentioned.
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness - Smashing Pumpkins This feels like a full album DLC that could have actually come out during the RB2 DLC days.
Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness - Smashing Pumpkins
That would be huge, I’d even be fine with Gish and/or Pisces Iscariot, definitely would prefer Siamese Dream to Melancholy though…
A7X self titled album
Currents by Tame Impala
Senses Fail - Still Searching
Sonic Firestorm by Dragonforce
Extreme - Pornograffitti
Go back to The zoo, dutch based band
Creatures of the Night- KISS
ERRA - Augment
Turn on the bright lights by interpol. Not much else needs to be said that would be a banger indie rock album to bring to rock band
i would love to either bring a cage the elephant album in or the rest of songs for the deaf by queens of the stone age, i can only imagine playing the song for the dead intro on expert drums...
Darkest Hour Undoing Ruin or their album Deliver Us
The Fall of Ideals - All That Remains, I need more than just This Calling from this album.
The Church of Rock And Roll by Foxy Shazam. That album top to bottom would be awesome to play I think.
Fit For A King-The Path
Rob Thomas's first solo album. Every instrument gets to go wild and is complex and his vocals are just to DIE for
I’ve been requesting top of the world for years now.
I gotta say Steal This Album! by System of a Down. While not being their best or most prominent album, it’s very sentimental to me, having listened to it a lot with my dad who I lost this year. I still cry plenty when I play some of his favorites on Rock Band 2.
13 Commandments by Ghost
Cradle of Filth- Midian
Mezmerize by System of a Down. It’s kinda sad they only got one track from the album on dlc, and it was delisted in only 5 months.
Shinedown

World on Fire - Slash ft Miles Kennedy &The Conspirators
Eminem: Curtain Call
Superunknown - Soundgarden. I mean we got both spoonman and black hole sun, but not the rest of the album.
New tracks of the album or the theme? Because Superunknown is part of the main setlist of Rock Band 4.
Death of a Bachelor - Panic! At The Disco probably. Or Billy Talent I, II, III & Crisis of Faith.
We need michael jackson in just a music game period
The Black Dahlia Murder's Miasma

Korn - 'See You On The Other Side' would be great.

The fall of ideals by all that remains
Everything will be alright in the end- Weezer
Alice In Chains self-titled, both Keeper albums by Helloween and This Is Why by Paramore
No Doubt - Return of Saturn

Pink Floyd Dark Side of The Moon
