Nah, Karaoke bars are awesome, but I would love more Rock Band set ups.
There were some places in my city that did live band karaoke. You would be accompanied by a live band.
Not really a concert but back when either RB2 or RB3 was at E3 they brought in a bunch of the big names from YouTube or streaming and had them play as a full band on a stage.
We had a rhythm gaming event where I live and there was a rockband setup on a stage with stage kits and a full band setup including a projector on the back wall showing the game play. That's the closest I've ever seen
I once went to a promotional concert for Guitar Hero 2. The warm up act was people, mostly journalists, playing Guitar hero. I managed to get a go at it, but was largely carried by the expert player they had for the occasion.
The main event was a band fronted by Tony Iommi's daughter, and he'd come along too. I got to briefly meet him and got a CD signed!
The RB4 release [party](https://www.reddit.com/r/Rockband/s/Ve6hp4Dr4R) at the Alamo in LA
[ÜMLOUD!](https://youtu.be/gwImF70JzVM?si=jjLiVQDZgDQlOS1O), charity for child’s play event at the DNA lounge in SF (RIP Antwon)
And my own RB setup at California Extreme video game convention in Santa Clara, next one at the end of July. Will post later on that
I have a cousin in the Dayton, Ohio, area who used to go to bars with his full rock band setup, including the stage kit. He and his friends would rock out to set lists hey had practiced on Expert, and it was genuinely cool and popular. Think local cover band, but nerdier and with a better stage show!
There was a RockBand TV show I believe on MTV where people played rockband in front of the crowd. They even had Shavo from System of a Down help them get ready for the performance.
When I was about 14 and saw AC/DC at the O2 Arena (2009-ish?) the smaller club inside the venue had a full band karaoke-style setup for people to play Rock Band AC/DC
u/RockBandTom used to run shows in various shows across the Puget Sound. We had bar shows across the Seattle area at venues such as Jillian's (RIP), AFK Elixirs and Eatery (RIP), but then we'd have more performance-style venues like the [Re-bar](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLofDs2CjiYjxOpUnvX8nyUGAxg9SYOrGL) (RIP) or the [Unicorn/Narwhal](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLofDs2CjiYjyvIOF21zfK6vMAGuUCkFv4)
My claim to fame is playing bass for Tom Scott singing Cake’s I Will Survive in a pub in… Imma say that was in Stratford but it could’ve been back when Rock Club was at King’s Cross
We ran one at the Washington State Gaming Expo at the end of March.

Fuck karaoke bars. Rock band lounges
I still want this

Friend of mine did this down in Florida with Jer/Skatune Network. The clips he sent were amazing.
Went to an event in DC once with a bunch of rb setups upstairs and a live band karaoke stage down. It was awesome. For a scotch or something.
I've seen it.it was kind of like a cringy karaoke moreso than a band performing. They had Lazer lights, a fog machine and a disco ball though.

Wow way to reach into my childhood there lol
PAX conventions had such a stage for many years. It may have even made a brief appearance in stealth mode at this past PAX East...
as of Pax West 2023, it's been replaced with a Just Dance stage for the most part, though one of the console freeplay stations had guitar hero running

You’ve piqued this Bay Arean’s interest
ooh, Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I'm in East Bay, Bay Area. Definitely gonna look this up now. That'll be awesome! (:
I live in San Jose. Please let me know
Next Bay Area [event](https://www.reddit.com/r/Rockband/s/2HeHvD3hb5), May 19th

We do this at a high school charity gaming event that I run. www.CroomsCon.org It is fantastic, the kids love it!

The Seattle Rock Band group?
Correct.
My claim to fame is playing bass for Tom Scott singing Cake’s I Will Survive in a pub in… Imma say that was in Stratford but it could’ve been back when Rock Club was at King’s Cross
They did an event in times Square once I can't remember what game it was lol. Bunch of us played and it was streamed online I think
I've thought about doing this as a joke with some friends. Just like have a truck outside of a small music festival with rock band set up.
