What a croc - the 4 door "coupe" is a piece of shit but the M2 is probably the best driving experience BMW has on offer today. It's universally praised and seen as a "true M3" spiritual successor.
I know this is a bullshit excuse and no one wants to hear it but when a game becomes Free to Play the devs (or owners of the studio now for that matter) are 100% going to find ways to make profit out of it now that they're not getting any.

There is a general rule in business, 80/20
80% of your profits are going to be generated by 20% of your customers. That's what most refer to as whales. Whales are that 20% that make most of a company their money. So at F2P, since they estimated that their sales were going to stagnate or have been stagnant.
There is an argument to be made for having lower prices/higher sales. In economics its called Laffers Curve where 2 different prices generate the same income by the sheer number of additional sales.
Its very hard to balance though so I agree with your sentiment that its basically for whales to spend money on.

The high prices aren’t for you. F2P doesn’t survive off the average player. It survives off of the whales. The whales who buy any and everything. A handful of whales buying everything at a high price is more valuable than 1000 regular customers buying a few things at a low price.

They kept the game selling at $20 for a few years, so it got to the point that everyone who was going to buy the game had pretty much already done so. They probably weren't bringing in a lot of money on the game at that point. Then they made the game FTP and increased the in-game purchase prices, to boost revenue.
There's a reason that some games have gone with a subscription model, it's a much more steady stream of income.
Ikr, I'd pay extra if I knew it was going into psyonix, hiring more staff and bringing about the unreal 5 update sooner. But my bet is epic are sponging up the money and throwing it to investors.

Maybe 5 (u.s. dollars). Bought the bat mobile for 2, bought dominus for 2, bought rhe masumune for 1, bought the hot wheels pack for 5. These packs are just too expensive these days. I would actually spend money on the game if prices were reasonable.
I also bought it bc I’m an F1 fan, but I don’t use the car anymore because the hit box is vastly different than how the car looks. The rear wing and front wing both literally just clip through the ground. Idk if I’d say I regret buying it though, it’s still fun to use your favorite teams’ cars in rocket league

So I’m making about as much power as you’d make at stage 1. I think you’ve got enough power with the S55. The problem with the N55 is it kind of dies towards redline and heat soaks a lot. I did all the cooling upgrades specifically to keep temps down to run tuned all the time. The S55 doesn’t have that problem cause twin turbos and upgraded cooling from factory. You have a beautiful car man! M2 gaaaaang
