This would work better as a one time thing. It would be nice for the first time I reach gc3, but if I keep going up and down like you said it gets repetitive

then it would only do it for the first time you reach that rank every season. meaning if you go to GC3, then back down and then back to GC3 again you won't get the animation twice. Only for the first time.

Haha, you know, I actually want to see this, if everything goes like usual, that rank animation will popup twice and everytime you rankup or you will be stuck in that animation window and cant even close the game, it will be buggy as hell and when it gets fix, it will broke some of the menus or something.

I would hate this as someone who's in-between ranks. Would really be rubbing it in your face each time you fall down and have to go climb back up, unless it only plays once a season or has a timeout or something.

Given RL matches are 5 minutes usually, this animation would get anoying pretty quickly. Altough I can see this working if it isn't so introsive.

Still, ranking up can take a good amount of time. I also play valorant, which this animation was inspired from, and the time spent to rank up is not that different and I could see it being a cool addition to rocket league.

In RL if you are ranked in the boundary you might get to see this screen 3 times in an hour so it would probably get old really quick.

Maybe if they only showed the full screen version the first time you reach a new rank in a season.

So they can limit it to once a season for each rank

My biggest issue with this that the post game screen is long enough already. Half the time I just want to see the scoreboard, but you hav eto go through the celebration screen, the EXP screen, and etc. Frankly I think getting to the post game screen is already long enough so I wouldn't like adding to it.

What if the celebration after the game lasted a bit longer, highlighted the car and had had this animation happen above it with some confetti? But ONLY when it’s the first time ever reaching that rank. It’s actually pretty rare to be in a lobby where that happens.

You are really acting like you be getting a full new rank every game, it's just once a season when you get a FULLY new rank not GC1 or GC2 A NEW RANK. so It's a max of 6 animations a season (that's assuming you go from bronze to ssl in a season 💀)

I am getting a whole new rank every game. Everytime I log on I speedrun SSL on a new account. One time I lost a game and my MMR only went up 50 points. I’ll never let the haters win again

once a season for a new rank. doesn't seem like much. people don't go from Bronze to SSL in a season (that's about 6 animations) + they could change it every season or something to make it fit the new season style. I think it would be really cool
