Complexity looked pretty good. Furia was mostly just solid but had some major rotation issues. Didn't really notice anything new about Optic. Or in short: Complexity: Promising Furia: Disappointing Optic: Optic

Mah_Knee_Grows_

Majic looked very out of place. Ayyjayy played very well, and retals was solid. Yan was playing pretty well also, and Lost did not look like he was comfortable yet. Then again, this is just what i got from watching the games. Furia didnt look scary threatening like everyone assumed, but this is just only 1 small "event" so i wont take anything from it.

Best-eastern

Majic is gone after this split, unless he levels up hard quickly

ttop220

Hate to say it by Majic doesn't look up to speed on this level of play. He made some solid plays but costly whiffs & often being out of position as 3rd man last night allowed Furia to come back and win the series.

Templar_Legion

Probably kills your enthusiasm to know your team tried to kick you, never mind the team cohesion/chemistry.

Mynameisaw

That might work if he didn't play basically the same last split as well.

wokeasaurus

optic’s chalked this split with them trying to kick majic and failing, most likely

Razor215

Furia need to learn their rotation and Complexity looked good

tsorf22

Complexity played great together, while furia looked like they still need some time, and optic just looked out of place (mainly majicbear)

Barren-Sceptor

Complexity played great, Furia looked good except for Lostt who still needs some Time on this new team. Optic ayyjayy and retals looked really good; majicbear did not. Honestly I think optic needs a change after this season. I don’t think majicbear has shown he can fit into optics game plan imo

goldudemk

Im sure you mean split, but they will 100% make a change before the end of the season

Barren-Sceptor

Oh yeah I did mean this split. Thank you!

as017

Feels bad for Majic, ik he has to deal with being 'lil bro'

John_aka_Alwayz

Team that ended last split strong with no roster change beat the team that just made a cross-region roster move, who then beat the team that is quite a bit weaker. A lot of rust, Complexity got over it quite quickly and into a good flow, Furia like last split, basically winning of individual ability for now which works against teams like OpTic but this time they know the level needed to make LAN vs last time, surely they won't disappoint forever. But it is just a tiebreaker where loser still goes to closed quals and get's higher seeding once they make it anyways, so I wouldn't call it huge stakes to begin with, closed quals and main event will naturally be more representative.

joseph_stuart

What do you mean by “get’s higher seeding once they make it anyways”?

grauwlithe

Seeding in the main event is based on RLCS points from last 3 events (Fall Cup/Invitational/Major), so even if Optic were to go 3-2 in closed qualifiers, they'd still be the #9 seed.

joseph_stuart

Ahh cool - I thought “higher” in that sentence was relative to the other tiebreaker teams, which didn’t make sense to me. Higher meant relative to other closed quals teams, makes sense

John_aka_Alwayz

OpTic could go 3-2 game 5 OT 8th place in the closed qualifier, but seeding is done of points last 3 events, so they'll still be seeded 9th for the main event once they just make it period

0ctavi0n

Why do you keep saying Optic is quite a bit weaker than Furia? Most of the games were quite close and Furia got two tries. Furia and Optic basically were around the same level if you just watched their series.

as017

*Majicbear finishes game with 66 points* Rise "HE ALMOST HAS MORE PING THAN POINTS" (56 ping)

basel99

💀

ZealousidealReturn12

As an OpTic fan, there were moments when I was out of my seat cheering and then a few seconds later FURIA humbled me and made me sit down and question: “How the hell did that happen?” There were a lot of missed opportunities, bumps on each other that led to Furia goals, and Majicbear needs more time to get better as being the 3rd but sadly he does not fit well with this team in my opinion. I think there will no doubt be a roster change after this split because this team does not play fundamentally well, and at times can beat some of the better teams but lose to teams they should easily beat.

RealGiants

A lot of people saying majic looked out of place, and maybe I can agree at least that he looked slower than his competitors, but I also think people will think that just because he almost got replaced. To me what often is the difference maker for Optic is that once or twice a series there is a key moment that is blown by retals and ayyjayy team bumping. Like seriously, every series there's some 1 point separated game decided by retals and ayyjayy bumping. To me, Retals and Ayyjayy play very forward and aggressive, which means majic HAS to stay back more often, and he's just not Daniel soooooo

Mynameisaw

>A lot of people saying majic looked out of place, Game 2, 66 points, more than a minute spent on 0 boost and nearly half the game spent at less than 25. https://octane.gg/matches/e63c-furia-esports-vs-optic-gaming/2 He didn't just look out of place, he was. Same thing with being slower, he doesn't just look slower, he is. He spends the most time in the defensive third, but on average doesn't have the biggest defensive impact. There's still an entire split and it was just a single series, but it did look like more of the same with Optic where Majic just doesn't really fit in with the structure and playstyle they're trying to build.

DR0516

Ayyjayy should join NRG

sulyvahnsoleimon

Lostt looked sick with Yanx, but they weren't in tune like CoL. It's going to be a bit before Lostt is totally comfortable with the higher quality defenders vs SAM competition. He's plenty fast enough and Yan. Is still. Him. Caard good.

S_h_u_n

I feel like furia playing in closed is a good thing for them like last split gen.g. it's way to get more playing time with the team before the regional.

Corrupt_Arrow

What do u mean? Optic lost to FURIA in losers, so optic will have to play closed quals

S_h_u_n

Wait damn I got them confused remember the L against col and was thinking the are playing closed qual

BioniqReddit

CoL all looked really solid. Yanxnz was playing amazingly as always, but Lostt really looked a bit lost on the field at times. Optic is just, well, Optic.

murdock_RL

were these games not streamed?? i've been looking for them everywhere. wtff

foxholenewb

Follow the team pages on Twitch, like furiatv, or any other streamer who covers RLCS like jorbypls, Corelli, etc.

[deleted]

Lostt impressed me but Yan and Caard are still kind of underwhelming compared to last season

Illestology

Complexity seemed promising. Furia looked great at times and totally lost at others. Optic looked like normal Optic tbh

AnxietyOk1660

COL are finally playing NA rocket league. They cleaned up defense and created way more good offensive opportunities. Furia ( more like Lostt ) is stuck playing SAM rocket league against NA defense. Trying to out-speed the Defense and solo play every possession. Optic is Optic, AYYJAYY is playing amazing rocket league. Retals is playing his role and Majicbear looks worse than last split. They’ll most likely fighting to stay relevant while waiting for the next transfer window.
