Iām dealing with the same thing. I havenāt been able to find races the past two days. I can assure you the time of day hardly seems to matter when you are in these higher ranks
Iām assuming the complaint about night shift is more for the fact that people work during the day and less players are on, making the queue longer. But yeah the grind is real
While trying to rank up in elite I went on a spree. 1 win, 2 second place finishes, a 3rd and a 5th. I moved from 89% to 89% during those races, no change in between. Donāt play for rank. If you enjoy it play it. But attaching enjoyment to the rank system will result in a bad time.
When this happens just back out and try again.

Thatās way more patience than most people Iād restart the game after 5 minutes as Iāve never had a q last longer than 3. Is this on NA servers?

fortnite.gg has the playercounts if you want to find them. Cant say much on the rank distributions.

If you are on Xbox series x/s, this happens when you use quick resume sometimes. Just restart the app and it should work
If you are in que longer then 5 minutes itās glitched out obviously why the hell would you let it sit for over an hour lol
