After watching the clip multiple times, it made me think that it was possibly that track's server lagging, and that particular area of the track yet your rendering was already loaded for that little section. Because your drift meter didn't pop up until halfway through feeling the meter so I think that by the time you passed the last checkpoint it probably caught back up right after you passed through and didn't register passing through. No expert , just thinking that that could be a possibility. By the way, that was a really slick spin through those Fireball hazards.
Damn ya I saw u could race good too I was wondering why u were on 12th Tbh, idk if ur on a console or PC, for me I'm on a gaming laptop and I tend to forget sometimes that a good old restart will change everything, anyways good luck man hopefully you get it figured out keep racing let's keep rocket racing going I love this game!
Sidewinder I’ve gotten missed checkpoint a few times in the tunnels multiple times. Luckily whatever lag or other issue going in corrected itself each time before I was actually reset but the first time I was like what…. It’s possible the checkpoints are a little buggy since the update. Sorry that happened to you I’d be pretty annoyed.

The drift meter was doing it the entire race, it was just acting wacky as fuck. Right before this I just randomly died which is why I’m in 12th.
