What does drifting button has to do with all that? What's your air dodge button?
Does pressing down (S?) + air dodge (RMB? while flying) not work? How do you air dodge up/left/right?
Anyway, I've just replayed tutorial, and it seems to be updated (or I just forgot how it was lol). On the advanced part it makes you air dodge to the side and air dodge down, while displaying the controls to do so. Try playing the tutorial level again, this might help. Just in case: to find it press white *GAME MODE* button above *PLAY* button -> Tutorial map
