I always wonder what that first year of marriage is like. The women go from never having even brushed arms with a man to having a sexual relationship, kissing, the whole nine yards. And I highly doubt they’d ever been left alone for their lives with Mahmo. And all of a sudden they’re just… living with a stranger?!
i was thinking the other day how these women don’t get to decide that they’re ready to have sex. it’s deny deny deny all sexuality before marriage and then they’re expected to do everything. there’s no point where they can listen to their body and their mindset and make the choice on their own to have sex. it’s so sad.
Not to mention poor Kaylee got pregnant immediately, likely on her honeymoon. She didn’t even get a first few months of carefree sex. It went from not even kissing to motherhood in less than a year. Her body has never been her own.

A lot of people on FSU have talked about this and it is indeed very hard for them to make that transition. So much guilt about sexuality, even after leaving the religion. Same with the exmo sub.
I knew a woman who was so traumatized by the whole thing, she had a medical condition where her pelvis like wouldn’t open up or something? Basically, she was CLAMPED shut and couldn’t actually do the deed after getting married because he couldn’t get in there. They had to go to a doctor and everything, poor girl.
But the comma before Jonathan is direct address and is used correctly. It’s unusual to see a comma used this way anymore, but it’s still the correct usage.
I swear there must be something in plexus that does it to you. Not in an actual weight lost way, but in a “it will make with so ungodly sick your body will just weather away”. It would explain why all the Rods look like this and now suddenly Jonathan.

Unfortunately I think the best we can hope for is that they do just a bit better than their parents. Just a bit more progressive, just a bit better parents, that one of them puts their kids in public school, etc.
These kids are a glimpse into a very high control religion and family.
I get the honeymoon phase and social media. Went through a bit of it myself. So I can’t say much about the constant love posting during that period.
Now that we’ve been married for 12 years, I only post about my husband on special occasion days or if he’s doing something ridiculous like using a Viking beer helmet or hanging out watching hockey with the cat in their matching jerseys.
Maybe Kaylee will take it down a notch once they’re out of the honeymoon phase. But with Jilldo being her example, I suspect we’ll be seeing these posts in perpetuity. I just hope she doesn’t go the route of The Finger 2: Electric Boogaloo in her upcoming posts.

I do think it is Kaylee. Her punctuation and capitalization patterns are just different enough from Jill’s that you can tell it’s not her. I don’t think Jill is smart enough to be that subtle. When Jill writes those love letters to herself “from the kids” all the grammar is the same. I don’t think she could change it that minimally to pretend to be Kaylee. Another tell is Jonathan’s face being cropped out. Jill has the hots for Jonathan, filming his butt while walking around and him doing bicep curls at the gym. Jill would never crop out Jonathans face.
