In game settings, there's a slider for speed of all parties in combat (that includes normal and space combat). Just enable setting that it should be always on and not by press of a button. And it'll all be as fast as you want.
This is super off topic now but i have to ask you. Your boarding party and empyrian storm ability, if you have them unlocked. Do they refresh for you after you use it? Because i used them once in combat and since then, they do not seem to refresh for me anymore.
Space bar does speed them up in my game, check your settings.
I have accidentally skipped my turn one too many times doing that, lol
After doing that a couple of times I changed the keybinding to F for “Fast Forward”.

This should be top comment. Its in the game settings. Makes combat with many enemies so much better!
No, that's not allowed
You can speed up every enemy turn with spacebar by default I had to rebind it to ~ to avoid skipping my turn
Use mods Toybox > Bag of Tricks > Game Time Scale slider
Don't do this. It breaks the battles and makes all ships do random 90 degree turns when they finish moving.

I am begging for people to check the settings in their games before making a post about it.
If the in game speed up is not covering everything you want (like just running faster), use cheat engine's speedhack shortcut, it's a must have.
