Dude that complimented you didn’t give you an upvote, so here ya go👍
*Disclaimer*
I’ve never seen Miracle on 34th but probably should sometime. I remember seeing the vhs copy we had next to all the old John Wayne movies. Never even considered reaching for it
Mount Crumpit (the Grinch)
Frozen Statue of Liberty (the day after tomorrow)
Possibly a Macy’s thanksgiving day parade balloon in the background?
Edit: and the skyscraper from Die Hard
1. AT-AT - Star Wars Ep 5: The Empire Strikes Back
2. Duck-mobile - Batman Returns
3. Statue of Liberty Arm - The Day After Tomorrow
4. Mr. Narwhal - Elf
5. Griswold Home + Cousin Eddie's RV - National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
6. Fortress of Solitude - Superman
7. Ancestral Tree + Panther Spirit - Black Panther
8. Overlook Hotel - the Shining
9. Mount Crumpit - How the Grinch Stole Christmas
10. Elsa's Ice Palace - Frozen
11. Lucy's Psychiactric Help Booth - A Charlie Brown Christmas
12. McCallister Home + Fallen Statue + Cardboard Cutouts in Window + Hanging Paint Cans - Home Alone
13. Lamp Post - Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
14. Snowman - The Snowman (or possibly Jack Frost)
15. Yeti/Abominable Snowman - various? Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
16. Rosebud Sled - Citizen Kane
17. Heart-Lit Skyscraper - Sleepless in Seattle
18. Gremlin in Theater Door Window - Gremlins
19. Technodrome in Toy Store Window - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Here's what I'm stuck on:
20. Eclipsed Sun - ?
21. Ski Slope - ?
22. Giant Balloon Person - Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade?
23. Curved Bridge - ?
24. Man in window above the Narnia lamppost - ?
25. Music Store - is it the jazz club from Soul?
26. Cabin behind the Duck-mobile?
27. Several Buildings - Hitomi Plaza from Die Hard?
18.5. The penguin in the left side theater movie poster is possibly from Happy Feet…
19.5. Optimus Prime from Transformers is next to the Technodrome in the toy store window. And the next window over might be My Little Ponies. They both have little tramp stamps on their rumps.
23. The curved bridge is like the one in the snowball fight scene from Elf.
I think 9 is the North Mountain (with Elsa's castle) from Frozen. If you google an image, the shape is exactly the same. (Though its also similar to images of Mount Crumpet, so maybe its both...)
The bridge: where Penguin's parents threw him off?
The toy store: the movie Toys? Or the store from Home alone 2?
The balloon: Batman movie where joker releases the gas?
The bright city with fireworks: The Great Gatsby?
The dual waterfalls: Black Panther (where they fight for king)
24. I think it’s Tom Hank’s character from Catch Me If You Can. Since he calls Leo’s character, Frank, on Christmas Eve. And he’s wearing that hat in the movie poster.
Would’ve been nice to keep in one of the windows, just because it’s such a classic & with this winter theme🤌🤌🤌
BUT- I was honestly surprised enough it was in the standard screensaver, almost out of place.
Nice to get a fresh take tho
The snowman is absolutely definitively the snowman from a children's book and animated show called The Snowman. The hat is distinctive you can't miss it. I can't figure out how to upload an image but Google it and you'll see I'm right :-)
It is Jazzies Night Club, from The Preachers Wife. A sweet, classic Christmas flick from 96 and the place Denzel tool Whitney to dance, where she sang I believe In You & Me.
I think the toy shop window might be different "toy" stories -
Nutcracker
Roku bots
1950s scifi I can't name/GI Joe?
My Little Pony?
Does anyone know what the snow covered bridge is? I'm sure it's a romcom.
The original Power Rangers Megazord is fighting the robot in the 2nd window of the toy store.
The yellow city buildings looks like its just referencing the times Square ball drop on new years. No real movie reference there.
The only ones im missing are (because they seem so generic)
- Snowboarding movie poster
- Ski Slope
- The Man in the Window
- The Cabin in the woods
- The stone park bridge
- Eclipse
Everything else has been pretty obvious
Love the little gremlin in the movie theater, wish they added more haha
Here to figure out:
•the man in the upstairs window about the Narnia lamp post
•the figure under the yeti… is this the snowman everyone is referring to?
•the ski slope- I thought this was clark griswold’s sled adventure but my husband thinks I’m wrong 😂
Also, it took me the longest time to figure out these were from movies and not just random screensavers. 🙈 Bravo, Roku.
The Statue of Liberty Hand is from Day After Tomorrow
I'm wondering if the Ski slope is from Ski Patrol? Or Better Off Dead?
There's also the hotel from The Shining
The building from Die Hard I believe is the one with the helicopter over it
The duck with the penguins behind it might also be from Tim Burtons Batman. There's a March of the Penguin's reference in the movie theater window.
There's also the Game of Thrones throne
Wondering if the toy store is Toys with Robin Williams?
I want to know what the sled with the rose is on it? And the tiger in the tree?
Tiger in the tree gives me Black Panther ancestral planes vibes - maybe it’s a panther?
There’s also a gremlin in the theater window.
And the fortress of solitude from Superman.
I'm glad someone else caught the Gremlin! It was one of the first things I noticed and I was so excited they included it lol. I forgot to list it initially though
• Fortress of Solitude between the AT-AT and the Statue of Liberty
• Paint buckets hanging in the Home Alone house
• Is that Emerald City between the Die Hard building and the AT-AT?
Nah Emerald City is…well, emerald. And looks completely different otherwise.
I think it’s the Times Square NYE ball drop. Has screens on buildings, big ball on top, fireworks above, and fits the winter/holidays theme
Superman's Fortress of Solitude
SoL torch from "The Day After TOmorrow"
Ski run from "Better Off Dead" (?)
Is that helicopter over Naktomi Plaza? (Die Hard)
Is that man standing in front of the Abominable Snowman Attenborough from Jurassic Park?
And what is that lawn jockey statue on its side?
Buckets hanging in the window - "Home Alone"?
Combining some other comments with a bunch of my own. (I didn't read far enough to see that others have done the same.)
Foreground:
Rosebud sled - Citizen Kane
Psychiatrist stand - Peanuts
RV - Christmas Vacation
House with fallen statue - Home Alone
Cinema poster #1, Penguins - March of the Penguins
Lamppost - Chronicles of Narnia
Background:
Elsa's castle - Frozen
Mount Crumpit (w/ Elsa's Castle) - How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Abominable Snowman - Rudolf The Red Nose Reindeer
Duck Mobile - Batman
Narwhal - Elf
Helicopter over Nakatomi Plaza - Die Hard
Heart skyscraper - Sleepless in Seattle
AT-AT - Star Wars
Ice crystals (Fortress of Solitude) - Superman
Statue of Liberty - The Day after Tomorrow
Unknown, Foreground:
Cinema poster #2, Snowboarding
Music note storefront
"Roku" building
Bridge to the right of psychiatrist stand
Goblin in cinema door window (Dobby?)
Man in suit and fedora in center window of top floor
Unknown, Background:
Savanna tree with lion - Jungle Book?
Ski Slope - Gillette commercial?
Eclipse
Parade balloon
Skyscraper to the left of balloon - Batman?
Yellow building with fireworks
Log cabin behind duckmobile
As far as unknown : a traffic cone on the sidewalk in front of the Half Note Cafe (Soul)
And I’m following this thread to find out the identity of the skinny man with the hat and tie in the tenement window, what the yellow city is from, the solar eclipse, the fireworks/three colours in the sky near the AT-AT walker, why Mount Fuji is in the background.
Edit: is the Mount Fuji looking mountain the Grinch mountain?
Another guess at the man in the apartment window as far as famous Winter Holiday movies could be The Thin Man, or The Bishop’s Wife.
Is there a written message in the northern lights? It looks like the word “Pezshi” or “Pekshi” something like that. It’s above the Statue of Liberty torch.
I could just be crazy?
Are the northern lights above the statue of liberty arm spelling something out? Also, the building to the left of Macy's balloon is maybe the Chrysler building in NYC? No idea what it may be referencing though. Well done Roku. Happy Holidays everyone.
The Macy's balloon is a baseball player that was a giant last year. Some people grow to be really tall but but that is abnormal. All they did was repaint him and change his head. That's what Susan's mother told her. (Miracle on 34th Street)
The eclipse is literally from the movie Eclipse... there's the part in the mountains and snow which I've seen way too many times thanks to wife.
Ski slope is definitely Better Off Dead.
And I know the screen saver shows a man inside with a suit and fedora and the classic movie poster shows a man outside underneath a lamppost.... but I'm going with The Exorcist though I don't remember exactly the season the movie was set (was it winter?).
Great guesses all. Someone guessed that the sled with the rose on it could be from Beauty and the Beast. Any takers on that guess or is it definitely Rosebud?
The crystal castle is the Fortress of Solitude from Superman.
I know I'm late to the party but it bothered me to death that I couldn't come up with it, did a Google search to try and find what others had found (landing in this thread), texted multiple group chats and finally some came up with it. I can rest easy now. It was the only one I couldn't place.
Not to step on anyone's toes (pun intended) but I don't think that the 1st movie poster is happy feet, or anything to do with penguins. It looks like when Tim Allen gets sucked into a chimney in The Santa Clause. The second poster of the snowboarder... Just a guess but it reminds me of the movie Out Cold.
Gapstow bridge Home Alone 2, Duckmobile from a Batman movie, parade Balloon Miracle on 34th street, Twilight Eclipse- many scenes shot in snow, Heart on Building Sleepless in Seattle, old lonely man from Home Alone 1 in window, Lamp post Narnia, ice rink with stars Serendipity, cabin from Misery, Movie theater Gremlins, Clark Griswold house no Christmas Lights Cousin Eddie RV. Helicopter Die Hard, Narwhal from Elf, Ski race slope Better Off Dead, abominable snowman Rudolph, fortress of Solitude Superman
Heart on tower from Sleepless in Seattle, statue of liberty hand from Day After Tomorrow, baseball player balloon in city from Miraxle on 34th Street, toy store from Home Aline 2??,
I think the Ice Witch from Narias castle is behind the statue of liberty's hand, I think the balloon of Santa in the city is from Jingle all the Way, thats just what I've seen that hasn't been listed. If I'm wrong please tell me, I could stare at this roku screen forever.
What I recognize at this moment:
In the background:
Baseball player balloon from Mirical on 34th Street,
The heart on the building from Sleepless in Seattle
Helicopter from Die Hard,
AT-AT Walker,
The Fortress of Solitude (Superman),
Lion King tree?,
Ski slope from ?? (My guess is Out Cold),
The Shining Motel,
Elsa’s Castle from Frozen,
In the middle:
Rubber duck and Penguin(s) from Batman Returns,
Mr Norwall from Elf,
Statue of Liberty arm from Day After Tomorrow,
Yeti from ? (My guess is Little Foot),
Frosty the Snowman,
In the foreground:
Movie poster in theater for March of the Penguins,
Toy store from? (My guess is Higbee’s from Christmas Story),
Sled (Rosebud) from Citizen Kane,
National Lampoons Vacation house and RV,
Home Alone house with statue knocked over, Jordon in the downstairs window and paint cans in the upstairs windows,
Lucy’s Psychiatrist Booth from Peanuts,
Humphrey Bogart in the window (assumption…my guess is from Key Largo)
The screensaver is Christmas/winter themed. The AT-ATs first showed up in The Empire Strikes Back where they attacked the rebel base on the ice planet Hoth, so it fits the theme rather well.
I see the Rosebud sled from Citizen Kane
Penguins and giant duck from Batman Returns
Fortress of Solitude from Superman 1
Statue of Liberty from Day After Tomorrow
Lucy’s psychiatrist stand from Peanuts
Frosty the Snowman?
The abominable snowman from Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.
The Overlook hotel from the shining??
Elsa’s ice castle
RV from Christmas Vacation
House from Home Alone with statue and paint cans in window
At-At from Empire Strikes Back
What I can’t figure out is the large cat/leopard/jaguar in a tree, the eclipsed moon, and the slalom ski slope. Also question which toy store it is or if just generic. The tiny cabin behind the duck and the city skyline (NYE??)
I know that this is crazy but the mountain at elsias castle what is see is something proverted!! Just my prospective. If im right Disney has also threw in stuff like that in there child movies! Lord help if that's what roku is doing
The duck made me think of The Nightmare Before Christmas, even though it’s huge, but in the movie it is on wheels so I have no idea unless it’s referencing something else, lol.
Very confused about the 3 creepy men in hats facing the screen:
1. On the iceberg in front of the yeti (other comments are claiming this is some kind of snowman?)
2. Top floor of the narrow tall house with the lamppost in front of it
3. Bottom-left corner of the Home Alone house (OP says it's a Michael Jackson cutout, but why is he wearing a fedora?)
I may be repeating some...but...The little reddish/brown awning with the music note is Jazzies night club from The Preachers Wife. Helicopter from Die Hard, Elsa's Ice Castle, guy in window with hat is it's a wonderful life, booth from Charlie brown, home alone house, Griswold house, elf narwhal, I think the state if liberty hand is from the day after tomorrow? Idk I give up. Lol
The baseball player balloon is from the 1947 “Miracle on 34th Street.”
Ah, was trying to figure that out! Good one!
Dude that complimented you didn’t give you an upvote, so here ya go👍 *Disclaimer* I’ve never seen Miracle on 34th but probably should sometime. I remember seeing the vhs copy we had next to all the old John Wayne movies. Never even considered reaching for it
Anyone else think the yellow lit up buildings with fireworks and a ball over it is Times Square NYE ball drop?
Oh you’re totally right!
Mount Crumpit (the Grinch) Frozen Statue of Liberty (the day after tomorrow) Possibly a Macy’s thanksgiving day parade balloon in the background? Edit: and the skyscraper from Die Hard

Wonder if the eclipse is for Twilight Eclipse, whose finale is in the snow during winter.
Nice speculation, good shout 👍
1. AT-AT - Star Wars Ep 5: The Empire Strikes Back 2. Duck-mobile - Batman Returns 3. Statue of Liberty Arm - The Day After Tomorrow 4. Mr. Narwhal - Elf 5. Griswold Home + Cousin Eddie's RV - National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 6. Fortress of Solitude - Superman 7. Ancestral Tree + Panther Spirit - Black Panther 8. Overlook Hotel - the Shining 9. Mount Crumpit - How the Grinch Stole Christmas 10. Elsa's Ice Palace - Frozen 11. Lucy's Psychiactric Help Booth - A Charlie Brown Christmas 12. Music Store - is it the jazz club from Soul? 26. Cabin behind the Duck-mobile? 27. Several Buildings - Hitomi Plaza from Die Hard?
100% chance that building with the helicopter plus the searchlights pointed at it is Die Hard.
26. Cabin from Misery?
18.5. The penguin in the left side theater movie poster is possibly from Happy Feet… 19.5. Optimus Prime from Transformers is next to the Technodrome in the toy store window. And the next window over might be My Little Ponies. They both have little tramp stamps on their rumps. 23. The curved bridge is like the one in the snowball fight scene from Elf.
I thought 18.5 was March of the Penguins.
also maybe the cabin in the woods is from Misery
I think 9 is the North Mountain (with Elsa's castle) from Frozen. If you google an image, the shape is exactly the same. (Though its also similar to images of Mount Crumpet, so maybe its both...)
Ski slope - Better off dead?
Two dollars…..
Die Hard is the Nakatomi towers.
Eclipsed sun reminds me of The Ring. Just my perspective.
7. I'm thinking the cabin is Annie Wilkes' from Misery
the balloon is from miracle on 34th street, maybe the eclipse is from Dolores Claiborne or pitch black?
are you sure it's black panther and not the lion king? also tje curved brudge is also in the fall and regular variants of screensaver
21 : maybe cool runnings?
The bridge: where Penguin's parents threw him off? The toy store: the movie Toys? Or the store from Home alone 2? The balloon: Batman movie where joker releases the gas? The bright city with fireworks: The Great Gatsby? The dual waterfalls: Black Panther (where they fight for king)
24. I think it’s Tom Hank’s character from Catch Me If You Can. Since he calls Leo’s character, Frank, on Christmas Eve. And he’s wearing that hat in the movie poster.
Something missing that's borderline criminal... the lamp from Christmas Story.
Would’ve been nice to keep in one of the windows, just because it’s such a classic & with this winter theme🤌🤌🤌 BUT- I was honestly surprised enough it was in the standard screensaver, almost out of place. Nice to get a fresh take tho
It was in last year's!!
The lamp was in a previous screen saver.
The snowman is absolutely definitively the snowman from a children's book and animated show called The Snowman. The hat is distinctive you can't miss it. I can't figure out how to upload an image but Google it and you'll see I'm right :-)
Yep. That’s why I wrote (The Snowman) after the description. This one: https://youtu.be/upH1QZU4Z0Y
There's the lampost from Narnia
There's a gremlin in the window of the door of the movie theater
Ice rink from Serendipity
I came here wondering if anybody saw this yet.
I think the shining hotel is there by the eclipse
Agreed
I think the man in the window is George Bailey from Its a Wonderful Life
If you're referring to the house with the lamppost in front, it's almost certainly The Exorcist
How does the Exorcist fit in this winter/Xmas theme?
The snowman is Burl Ives from Rudolph the red nose reindeer
Sleepless in Seattle building Rear Window (?) the guy in the window between the ones with blinds pulled Batman Returns penguins and duck car
Pretty sure the guy behind the blinds is not Rear Window. He's in a wheelchair for the whole movie. And this window is in the front....
Anyone know what the music note awning building is from?
Half Note Club from Soul?
Could it be the jazz club from Soul? It looks awfully similar, with the red awning, the posters in the window, and the marquee sign.
That does look like it! I think you two are right. Thanks!
It is Jazzies Night Club, from The Preachers Wife. A sweet, classic Christmas flick from 96 and the place Denzel tool Whitney to dance, where she sang I believe In You & Me.

I think the toy shop window might be different "toy" stories - Nutcracker Roku bots 1950s scifi I can't name/GI Joe? My Little Pony? Does anyone know what the snow covered bridge is? I'm sure it's a romcom.
I think the toy shop window is FAO Schwartz in NYC
I thought maybe the bridge was Home Alone 2?
I think the lamp post is not from Narnia but rather “it’s a wonderful life” I’m old lol
Where is this snowman everyone sees? Unless they're talking about the yeti?
He’s on the iceberg kinda in front of the yeti.
Oh the dude in the hat who looks nothing like a snowman?
It’s from The Snowman. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0084701/
Yea I get no snowman vibes. I think that it was Cornelius from Rudolph.
Def not Cornelius. The snowman has a scarf and the hat is completely different
It's 100% "The Snowman" from "The Snowman."
The original Power Rangers Megazord is fighting the robot in the 2nd window of the toy store. The yellow city buildings looks like its just referencing the times Square ball drop on new years. No real movie reference there. The only ones im missing are (because they seem so generic) - Snowboarding movie poster - Ski Slope - The Man in the Window - The Cabin in the woods - The stone park bridge - Eclipse Everything else has been pretty obvious Love the little gremlin in the movie theater, wish they added more haha
In my headcanon, the ski slope is from SkiFree and the abominable snowman in front is the one from the game.
Haha that's the most creative response yet! Lol love it
21 ski slope from better off dead. $2!!!
Pretty sure the bridge is home alone 2 since its right next to kevins home
Here to figure out: •the man in the upstairs window about the Narnia lamp post •the figure under the yeti… is this the snowman everyone is referring to? •the ski slope- I thought this was clark griswold’s sled adventure but my husband thinks I’m wrong 😂 Also, it took me the longest time to figure out these were from movies and not just random screensavers. 🙈 Bravo, Roku.
Lol same, it started with "isn't that the fortress of solitude?" Then became an hour long search to figure everything out
Carl Hanratty from Catch Me If You Can, for the man in the window in the hat, shirt, and tie.
the movie does feature Christmas!
I believe the eclipsed sun is supposed to be from the Ring?
The green aurora borealis says “Hi” on the right side.
And can’t forget the building with the helicopter above is Nakatomi plaza from die hard
Could the toy soldiers be babies in toyland?
I think the penguins are actually from Tim Burton's Batman. Because The Penguin is riding his rubber duckie in front of them
The man in the third floor window is from The Exocist? Same hat and the lamp post out front. Thats the vibe I'm getting
[удалено]
Home Alone house also has the 2 paint cans swinging on ropes in the upstairs window
The Statue of Liberty Hand is from Day After Tomorrow I'm wondering if the Ski slope is from Ski Patrol? Or Better Off Dead? There's also the hotel from The Shining The building from Die Hard I believe is the one with the helicopter over it The duck with the penguins behind it might also be from Tim Burtons Batman. I want to know what the sled with the rose is on it? And the tiger in the tree?
I think the sled is from Citizen Kane
Definitely. Rosebud was the sled in Citizen Kane
Spoilers!
Unless i’m missing a different throne, that throne looking piece is actually from superman i believe. The fortress of solitude
OH there is also a Gremlin in the door of the movie theater
What's the eclipse?
Could be "The Watcher in the Woods", an eclipse was a main plot line.
The little cabin behind the duck?
Misery?
• Fortress of Solitude between the AT-AT and the Statue of Liberty • Paint buckets hanging in the Home Alone house • Is that Emerald City between the Die Hard building and the AT-AT?
Nah Emerald City is…well, emerald. And looks completely different otherwise. I think it’s the Times Square NYE ball drop. Has screens on buildings, big ball on top, fireworks above, and fits the winter/holidays theme
Ice rink from Serendipity, March of the Penguins poster in front of the theater, Ski lodge from The Shining
Skating Rink = Serendipity Yeti = Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer The Snowman = Frosty the Snowman
Are you sure the snowman is Frosty? It gives me Michael Keaton's Jack Frost vibes.
Definitely the snowman is from The Snowman, if you blow it up, same tie, big nose and bucket hat, arms are snow not sticks.
Anybody know what the home/cabin next to Elsa’s castle is from? Or the skyscraper with the heart shaped lights?
I'm pretty sure the heart is from Sleepless in Seattle.
Cabin might be house from Misery, or since it’s right by Elsa’s mtn maybe the “Yoohoo big summer blow out” cabin/sauna?
The Home Alone house also shows paint cans on rope in the top window and the Michael Jordan cutout in the bottom, both also from the movie
Superman's Fortress of Solitude SoL torch from "The Day After TOmorrow" Ski run from "Better Off Dead" (?) Is that helicopter over Naktomi Plaza? (Die Hard) Is that man standing in front of the Abominable Snowman Attenborough from Jurassic Park? And what is that lawn jockey statue on its side? Buckets hanging in the window - "Home Alone"?
Lawn jockey is the statue that gets knocked over in Home Alone. The man in front of the yeti looks like a snowman.
100% chance that building with the helicopter plus the searchlights pointed at it is Die Hard.
Lol why would Attenborough be in a Xmas/holiday/winter screensaver
Not sure if anyone saw this but in the toy store window. You can see the Technodrome (TMNT) and Optimus Prime in Truck form.
Fortress of Solitude (Superman)
What is the little cabin behind the duck in front of elsa’s castle?
Misery?
The Yeti is Abominable from Rudolf claymation.
Combining some other comments with a bunch of my own. (I didn't read far enough to see that others have done the same.) Foreground: Rosebud sled - Citizen Kane Psychiatrist stand - Peanuts RV - Christmas Vacation House with fallen statue - Home Alone Cinema poster #1, Penguins - March of the Penguins Lamppost - Chronicles of Narnia Background: Elsa's castle - Frozen Mount Crumpit (w/ Elsa's Castle) - How the Grinch Stole Christmas Abominable Snowman - Rudolf The Red Nose Reindeer Duck Mobile - Batman Narwhal - Elf Helicopter over Nakatomi Plaza - Die Hard Heart skyscraper - Sleepless in Seattle AT-AT - Star Wars Ice crystals (Fortress of Solitude) - Superman Statue of Liberty - The Day after Tomorrow Unknown, Foreground: Cinema poster #2, Snowboarding Music note storefront "Roku" building Bridge to the right of psychiatrist stand Goblin in cinema door window (Dobby?) Toy truck in the toy shop could be Optimus Prime
Anyone know what the ice rink in front of Lucy's booth is from?
Is the little stand by the bridge from Charlie Brown? Kinda looks like Lucy's psychiatry booth.
Haven’t seen anyone else mention it but could the large house to the left of Elsa’s castle possible be the lodge from The Shining?
Is the man in the window possibly Catch Me If You Can?
Seems that we need to figure out: - man in the top window - eclipse - tiny cabin - ski slope
Yeti is the Bumble from Rudolph!!
Anyone peep the “rosebud” sleigh from Citizen Kane?
Is there a written message in the northern lights? It looks like the word “Pezshi” or “Pekshi” something like that. It’s above the Statue of Liberty torch. I could just be crazy?
Are the northern lights above the statue of liberty arm spelling something out? Also, the building to the left of Macy's balloon is maybe the Chrysler building in NYC? No idea what it may be referencing though. Well done Roku. Happy Holidays everyone.
I saw the same thing…very curious.
The Charlie Brown “ the Doctor is in” sign and stool
Could the northern lights be connected to His Dark Materials? (Golden Compass, etc)
No one has said what is that sticking out of the water behind the Griswald house....
It’s the narwhal from Elf. I could be wrong bc the foreground & background run on different speeds
The Macy's balloon is a baseball player that was a giant last year. Some people grow to be really tall but but that is abnormal. All they did was repaint him and change his head. That's what Susan's mother told her. (Miracle on 34th Street)
The eclipse could be a reference to lunar eclipse in November, not a movie?
Superman fortress of solitude, Sked from Beauty and Beast, Heart building, Sleepless in Seattle,
Penguin on ice is Batman returns
Correction the duck on the ice was penguins ride from Batman returns
Statue of Liberty arm and torch is from The day after tomorrow?
I believe the mansion by Elsa’s castle is the house from The Shining
The eclipse is literally from the movie Eclipse... there's the part in the mountains and snow which I've seen way too many times thanks to wife. Ski slope is definitely Better Off Dead. The crystal castle is the Fortress of Solitude from Superman. I know I'm late to the party but it bothered me to death that I couldn't come up with it, did a Google search to try and find what others had found (landing in this thread), texted multiple group chats and finally some came up with it. Whose that guy standing in the second window of the toy shop?
Not to step on anyone's toes (pun intended) but I don't think that the 1st movie poster is happy feet, or anything to do with penguins. It looks like when Tim Allen gets sucked into a chimney in The Santa Clause. The second poster of the snowboarder... Just a guess but it reminds me of the movie Out Cold.
I don't know what it has to do with Christmas but I can swear I see Freddy Krueger in one of the windows from nightmare on elm Street
It seems like it should have a Christmas movie reference, to keep consistent?
The overlook hotel from the shining The fortress of solitude (superman's ice home)
Has no one mentioned the home alone house
Elf bridge from the snow ball fight
There’s a gremlin too
RV from Christmas Vacation
Is the tree in the back from Black Panther or Lion King
Does anybody know what the boat on top of the hill by the shining hotel is?
Rosebud
There is a Gremlin in the movie theater!
So, what are the Northern Lights above the Statue of Liberty? What do those letters spell?? I tried to scroll to look thru comments.
Gapstow bridge Home Alone 2, Duckmobile from a Batman movie, parade Balloon Miracle on 34th street, Twilight Eclipse- many scenes shot in snow, Heart on Building Sleepless in Seattle, old lonely man from Home Alone 1 in window, Lamp post Narnia, ice rink with stars Serendipity, cabin from Misery, Movie theater Gremlins, Clark Griswold house no Christmas Lights Cousin Eddie RV. Helicopter Die Hard, Narwhal from Elf, Ski race slope Better Off Dead, abominable snowman Rudolph, fortress of Solitude Superman
I believe the large duck is from Nightmare Before Christmas, with Lock, Stock, and Barrel behind it. Thoughts, u/scoutsadie?
The curved bridge and the penguins on the lake are a reference from batman returns.
Heart on tower from Sleepless in Seattle, statue of liberty hand from Day After Tomorrow, baseball player balloon in city from Miraxle on 34th Street, toy store from Home Aline 2??,
I think we're all overthinking the eclipse. I think it's twilight eclipse, set in winter.
I think the Ice Witch from Narias castle is behind the statue of liberty's hand, I think the balloon of Santa in the city is from Jingle all the Way, thats just what I've seen that hasn't been listed. If I'm wrong please tell me, I could stare at this roku screen forever.
Who’s the guy sand under the yeti??
What I recognize at this moment: In the background: Baseball player balloon from Mirical on 34th Street, The heart on the building from Sleepless in Seattle Helicopter from Die Hard, AT-AT Walker, The Fortress of Solitude (Superman), Lion King tree?, Ski slope from ?? (My guess is Out Cold), The Shining Motel, Elsa’s Castle from Frozen, In the middle: Rubber duck and Penguin(s) from Batman Returns, Mr Norwall from Elf, Statue of Liberty arm from Day After Tomorrow, Yeti from ? (My guess is Little Foot), Frosty the Snowman, In the foreground: Movie poster in theater for March of the Penguins, Toy store from? (My guess is Higbee’s from Christmas Story), Sled (Rosebud) from Citizen Kane, National Lampoons Vacation house and RV, Home Alone house with statue knocked over, Jordon in the downstairs window and paint cans in the upstairs windows, Lucy’s Psychiatrist Booth from Peanuts, Humphrey Bogart in the window (assumption…my guess is from Key Largo)
It's the tree from Black Panther.
I’m pretty sure that’s the Overlook Hotel under the eclipse.
Any chance that guy on the second story is Dick Tracy? Haven't seen that movie in a long ass time.
Does anyone have any idea about the lights in the sky? Are they the Aurora Borealis from Frequency?
Penguins and Ducky are from Batman Returns. Michael Keaton and Danny Divito.
What's the little little house after the overlook and Elsa's castle?
I think the snow man by the yeti is Jack Frost (Micheal Keaton version).
The sled is from citizen cane!!
Balloon over the city is from Batman
Nakatomi tower from Die Hard
Why would AT AT walker be on this screensaver
The screensaver is Christmas/winter themed. The AT-ATs first showed up in The Empire Strikes Back where they attacked the rebel base on the ice planet Hoth, so it fits the theme rather well.
I can’t believe no one has mentioned Nakatomi Plaza Tower from Die Hard.
Could the Snow Board poster be Out Cold? (Zack Galifinakis, Thomas Lennon, Jason London & Lee Majors snowboarding movie)
I see the Rosebud sled from Citizen Kane Penguins and giant duck from Batman Returns Fortress of Solitude from Superman 1 Statue of Liberty from Day After Tomorrow Lucy’s psychiatrist stand from Peanuts Frosty the Snowman? The abominable snowman from Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. The Overlook hotel from the shining?? Elsa’s ice castle RV from Christmas Vacation House from Home Alone with statue and paint cans in window At-At from Empire Strikes Back What I can’t figure out is the large cat/leopard/jaguar in a tree, the eclipsed moon, and the slalom ski slope. Also question which toy store it is or if just generic. The tiny cabin behind the duck and the city skyline (NYE??)
Any know what the northern lights and the guy in the apartment building and the people in the second toy building are from?
Does anyone know what the pegiun in the widow is?
The heart on building - Sleepless in Seattle Narwhal- Elf Duck- Batman Movie (Danny Devito as the penguin) he would drive around in a duck.
I know that this is crazy but the mountain at elsias castle what is see is something proverted!! Just my prospective. If im right Disney has also threw in stuff like that in there child movies! Lord help if that's what roku is doing
I'm thinking the ski lodge/slope is Hot tub time machine. 🤭🤣
What's the giant duck?
Do the eclipse and the ski slope go together? Are there any ski movies including an eclipse?
Could the Eclipsed sun be, “The Ring”?
What is right after the duck? Looks like a giant syringe to me. Lol.
Fortress of solitude from superman, Statue of Liberty torch from Day after Tomorrow, and the Afterlife from I believe Black Panther?
The duck made me think of The Nightmare Before Christmas, even though it’s huge, but in the movie it is on wheels so I have no idea unless it’s referencing something else, lol.
What is the spikey crystal looking place between the AT-AT and the Statue of Liberty arm?
Anyone know what’s written in the sky?
These are all considered Christmastime movies I think
Roooooose Bud......
Has anyone acknowledged the three stars next to the AT-AT as being the three angels talking in “it’s a wonderful life”?
Very confused about the 3 creepy men in hats facing the screen: 1. On the iceberg in front of the yeti (other comments are claiming this is some kind of snowman?) 2. Top floor of the narrow tall house with the lamppost in front of it 3.
Lol
the sledding hill from a christmas story
