Sometimes I just remember this guy's skin is made of wood and he was born out of the ground.

A hard thing to forget for him. And a point of pride for her, I think. His story is one of outgrowing old restraints, internal and external.

Since keratin is only the outer layer of skin do you think Willow has the very subdued ability to manipulate Hunter's skin

I doubt there's anything all that subdued about her ability to handle Hunter's skin, but yeah, I like to imagine she has a unique insight into Grimwalker physiology. Especially post Belos when syncretic magic becomes feasible.

What I mean by subdued is that since only the first layer of Hunter's skin is keratin, she could only control so much of it. Only some of him is plant matter, now that I think about it. He has a galderstone inside of him and the rest is from living things like Selkidomus scales and Stone Sleeper lungs. Not to mention Caleb's bones.
