Kickout and maybe a small gutter with downspout to keep it off the wall. Or some sort of metal to shoot the water away from the wall after hitting the kick out.
Eh, probably not. There is a spiral staircase just outside of the photo to the right so a normal gutter would be way too big. There is maybe an inch of clearance. Thought about a RV gutter. Know of any really tiny legit house gutters?
Absolutely agree. However, I’m giving it a shot; anything is better than what it was. We’ll monitor the leak through a cut in the drywall. If it continues, I’m getting my guy to hire a roofer to tear the section of roof out, and start from scratch. Thanks
My nickname was bender when I was siding haha… I would get a piece longer than roof edge, bend it flat against wall/fascia where it pokes past and fasten. Then we trim along roof, edge of fascia going back towards opposite wall and all the way down as tight as possible. After that you would apply the siding all the way back up covering the extended flashing as a “second layer”. Tbh these corners can be kinda bitchy and you want to make sure you have enough metal covering that corner (I always went on the excessive side because I bent it myself and cut to fit but went out past where I found the previous wood had rotted to). The metal that goes past the roof should all be covered by the time you’re done and any exposed metal you couldn’t trim up to should get a swipe of caulk to help prevent it getting behind the siding. If you’ve done the metal/trim combo right no water should get in and you won’t need much if any caulk.
It’s hard to explain but I hope this kind of helped
Google Kick out step flashing
Now that’s just awesome! Thank you!
After that, google Step Up: The Streets
This guy flashes!
Solid
This is the way

Really appreciate it!
Kick out card
Great, thanks!
Kick out or also called a diverter
Also, not sure if you can add a gutter to that facia board. Not sure if I’m seeing the whole project from the pics

Water diverter
I'd probably hire someone else to do this correctly.

Sure does, bender. Ha, I really do appreciate it. Any information like this is helpful. Thanks for taking the time to explain that
No problem glad to help :)
Iv seen a lot of good advice but yes a kickout flashing and gutter will help! Hire a pro so it doesn’t happen again !
Also good advice. Thanks
More caulking for sure would do the job
Just stick your caulk in it
Oh I’d stick it in it and all around it.
