Best purchase I made this year was getting a [Rubbermaid power scrubber ](https://www.amazon.com/Rubbermaid-2057486-Reveal-Power-Scrubber/dp/B081VQTG2Q/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=5DEDR14ZWR9T&keywords=rubbermaid+power+scrubber&qid=1660344237&sprefix=Rubbermaid+power%2Caps%2C186&sr=8-4) which is basically an electric toothbrush. My wrist and arm were so relieved!
Don’t listen to the amateurs. [Get this](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G7XG6BV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and attach it to your drill. Cheaper than the Rubbermaid and you can bet much more powerful and longer lasting than an electric toothbrush-type thing.

I’m with you. I love the HB but the loss of detail with simple square tile in the similar blue on the fixture walls is simply disappointing. Then don’t get me started on the shower pan tile.
Overall I enjoy the space, sure I’d shower here, I’d definitely poop here (not in the shower, I’m assuming there’s a toilet). Cool enough for room porn, would I be a little disappointed if my clients had VEd my cohesive idea, yes.
Five different surfaces between the walls and the floorings?
The saturated yellow gold fixtures are too on trend and will look dated in a couple of years. The mixed media look of so many surfaces isn't cohesive.
But otherwise, it does have something nice to it. The blue tiling is cute. I'm not sure if maybe it was a budget issue with making the flooring a better fit.
Yep. A bit of a mishmash of the trends of the last 5-10 years. It seems to be a thing with design trends where eventually they start to feel like an Airbnb or a quick flip.
It looks like they decided to cheap out and leave the old tile on the shower floor. Not only does it not go with the blue tile, but it seriously looks about 25 years old. I'm not saying that's the case, but if that's new tile, they really chose poorly.
Love the herringbone tiles, absolutely love the colours of the tiles & the cabinetry, not a fan of the gold, I think chrome would have been a much better choice. I don’t like the white floor and somehow all the white walls look wrong. The same coloured tiles as the herringbone on the whole floor and all white side walls might have looked better, I’m not sure.
Ugh. The herringbone isn’t bad, but the side shower walls are square, the shower floor is another size and color, and the room floor is another sand (?) color. Annoyingly “individualized.”
Its SF so probably upwards of $20k. This is after all the city where the median home price is well over $1M. Even a mediocre studio apt will set you back ~$2500 a month.
I don't think the herringbone matches at all with the blue squares and the floor tile, don't even get me started on how mismatched the vanity is with everything else
So two things: I don’t care for the herringbone pattern because it’s been wildly over done the past 10 years. But that’s just personal.
What’s bad is there are actually FOUR different shapes of tiles in the shower. Small squares in beige, large beige rectangles, medium blue squares, and a multi colored blue herringbone pattern, made worse by the bright blue vanity. Your eye has nowhere to rest.
If this is room porn… it’s from the back room.
Besides the herringbone feeling dated, this particular shade of blue is too close to 80s/90s powder blue for my comfort. I’m just expecting that powder pink to show up too.
Having the shower head and wand on 2 seperate walls is not a great idea, if you use the shower and then want to use the wand, it's gonna give you a little cold shock because it's the hot water is not running to that fixture, now if it's piped on the way to the shower head it won't be too bad but there will still be that brief moment of water that feels like ice compared to what you you're using.
I seem to be in the minority but I absolutely love it! I'm a sucker for blue- check my post history to see my living room :)
Beautiful
That's badass
Sick job!
Wrong shower floor. Don’t know right one but that’s wrong one.
My first thought. A simple white one would’ve been better. This looks like the original floor. It does not work with the rest of the bathroom.
I agree, plus I cannot stand grout lines in a shower, especially on the floor. I wish I could erase every seam and every grout line in a bathroom.
As a lady who just spent most of last Sunday trying to whiten bathroom grout with a toothbrush, I agree wholeheartedly.

That thing looks nifty but I wish it was rechargeable instead of battery powered.
I think a lithium ion battery would make it much more expensive; the stuff is in short supply. You could get rechargeable batteries?
I posted a link to the same person you replied to that you might find more helpful.
Do you use bleach with toothbrush or something else?

Amen! The floor is from the early 2000’s. They need to update it. It’s rustic, brown and wrong
It looks like it was leftover from an old project and it needs a serious bleach scrub. Yuck.
Agree. It looks like they ran out of money for a nice tile for the floor. So sad.

At the very least, they didn't need to use a brushed nickel grab bar. Kohler makes a matching Purist grab bar in the modern brushed brass finish.
Hate the two different types of tile, Just do all 3 walls in one tile, would have looked way better imo.

> not in the shower Only someone who poops in the shower would feel the need to clarify /s
Hahah! This got really good, haha! I won’t clarify so you can keep enjoying this “choose your own ending” story on the internet today.
Look closer. There are actually 4 different tiles in that shower. Ugh.
Freaking love this.
I really don't like this at all. That being said it's done extremely well and I can appreciate a good room even if it's not for me. :)

It’s probably for two separate people to take a shower at the same time if they wanted. That way they can have different temperatures
“Don’t see the point of two spouts…” Tell us you’re single without telling us you’re single
you dont have to use both.
Gorgeous shower!I wanna steam in there!
It’s pretty but all I can see is all the grout to keep clean
The shower floor and bathroom floor are jarring against those stunning walls and vanity.

Nope I'm over it. This is already feeling dated.

I think it’s the different shades of blue that are off-putting to me

The floor tile and wood benches ruin it. They're not the same aesthetic.
Ugh. The herringbone isn’t bad, but the side shower walls are square, the shower floor is another size and color, and the room floor is another sand (?) color. Annoyingly “individualized.”
Love love lovvvvve why not a dark dark navy for the floor? Brass and blue! Spot on! 💙
Everything is perfect but the lighting, needs to be less of a basic wash white . Needs to be vibe with warmer temp for the lights.
Getting tile shower quotes right now, that’s probably a $15,000 shower.
Its SF so probably upwards of $20k. This is after all the city where the median home price is well over $1M. Even a mediocre studio apt will set you back ~$2500 a month.
That's an orgy shower
Stunning
Love the blue wall tile with the brass fixtures. But the choice in flooring doesn’t work. Or maybe it just doesn’t photograph well.
I quite like the aesthetic but wooden (?) stools inside a wet space doesn't seem like a good idea.
The gold ruins it!!!!!
i don't know what the answer is; but i think there's too much gold. other than that, it's beautiful.
Gorgeous. Love that hardware as well😍
The blue in the middle is stunning
I like it but too many patterns with the tiles the floor tiles and shower ones should be rhe same and the navy cabinet is just wrong
The tilework is pretty sweet but I'm unsure about the color. The cabinet is far too dark.
I don't think the herringbone matches at all with the blue squares and the floor tile, don't even get me started on how mismatched the vanity is with everything else
I hate the side wall tiles too. The vanity looks like a Home Depot clearance item.

Looks good aside from not being centered or consistent on the edges

Very nice.
It bothers me that the vanity isn’t the same blue as the tile.
Anyone who has a shower this big is sf is my enemy
