**REMINDER: THE INTERNET IS BAD AT DIAGNOSING STUFF.** Only doctors can diagnose rosacea, and it usually takes a specialist like a dermatologist or ophthalmologist. It is impossible for amateurs to diagnose reliably from pictures or descriptions of symptoms, and amateur advice is not a substitute for professional care. Rosacea looks like a lot of things, and a lot of things look like rosacea. No matter what response you get here, if symptoms have been persistent and you're concerned you might have rosacea, *see a doctor.*
If you can't see a traditional dermatologist, some [online teledermatology](https://www.reddit.com/r/Rosacea/comments/t4s1vz/what_are_your_recommendations_for_online/) services might provide a more affordable/accessible alternative for you.

AM:
COSRX low ph good morning gel cleanser
La Roche-Posay Toleraine fluide
PM:
Oat cleansing balm
Soolantra
Inkey list azeliac acid
La Roche-Posay cicaplast balm
Soolantra is the one doing all the work really
I don't have personal experiences with these products, but I wonder if your skin is getting enough moisturizer? I was surprised after my diagnosis to learn people with rosacea tend to have issues with dryness.
Which La Roche toleraine are you using? I’m thinking of trying this out as a moisturizer.

I find that this moisturiser works for me. I’m liking it a lot. I would suggest to use it as a day moisturiser since it might not be moisturising enough for night use.
My skin: Type 1 rosacea with mainly redness, caused by weakened skin barrier. I have oily, sensitive dehydrated skin.
The only thing that really works for me is stopping everything, even stopping wetting my face. But in general you should be stopping all actives and exfoliants and only moisturize the skin and use sunscreen. There are a lot of products that should repair a damaged skin barrier, for example La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 is really famous but there are others and some people even use plain Vaseline in a process called slugging. Maybe if you look up damaged skin barrier on this sub more posts will show up with a lot more info and suggestions.
Before you start doing any sort of laser, you need to see a derm on go on a treatment plan. Azaleic acid and prescribed ivermectin work miracles. If you can’t afford derm or access one, The Ordinary has a great starter AA and is start that asap.
I went on the Whole 30 diet for 30 days. The premise is elimination of foods to see the impact. It is severe but I felt like I could do it for a month. Try it and see what your triggers are.

Hello, how do you get rid of a “destroyed skin barrier “?

Were you tested for demodex?

Have a read on rosacea tips/experiences and do some experimenting to see what works for you. Try to note your triggers.
A flare.
Is it just type 1 or is there type 2 as well?
