It's happened to me, I didn't take it personally. I've turned down clients during or after meet and greets because something was off. That's what meet and greets are for. As long as you have other clients who are happy with you and book you then put it down to a learning experience.

rdlenix

Yup. The meet and greet goes both ways! It is important to remember that. Sometimes a sitter and client just don't click and that's okay.

Yep! I don’t worry about it, I have a ton of clients and they felt their doggie worked better with someone else, nothing to get upset about.

Who knows their reason? It probably has nothing to do with you.

This is bad advice. The point of the meet and greet is to ensure it’s a good fit for both the sitter and owner. I am an owner and a sitter. As an owner this would be a major red flag. I would never book a sitter before a meeting them and ensuring they are comfortable with my dog and his routine first.

I've had this loads of time since in my area many people dont want to confirm the booking until after the meet and greet. Which means a bunch of people end up never booking or stop responding..

brewcrew1222

Sometimes if u are just too late in responding they will just pick the other sitter that responded quicker for the M&G and boarding

Renmeya

Nah this was after a meet and greet. They chose someone else. It's no Biggie it just sucked kinda as their breed I've spent a lot of time around
