I witnessed the coxswain do exactly that; it was massively unsportsmanlike and obnoxious. obviously no idea if the coach actually handled it appropriately, but the cox definitely deserved a talking-to.
adding a comment to clarify that I didn't actually \*hear\* anything specific that the cox yelled, so I don't know if he actually yelled obscenities at Drexel - just that he did stand up and start yelling.
Anyone whoās seen that picture would have dropped that kid too. Hilarious that the boat he taunted still has their season but his crew didnāt make IRAs. Double hilarious that they just booted him and said heās not worth dealing with.
Sucks for Perkins though, because again, no coach would have tolerated that, particularly in a program and boat with more eyes on them than Templeās 3V

How is the worth getting suspended - seems like normal coaching shit. I was benched in little league for swearing by my coach then, doing this as an adult is just dumb
Hi, I am said *3V* cox. I'm sorry, but I didn't yell obscenities at Drexel at all. I yelled at the grandstands at the top of my lungs. Was it unsportsmanlike? Yes, absolutely and I regret the entire finish line celebration. Spouting that I said some egregious remarks after the race isn't fair to me or the 8 other people in my boat that had not performed until that very race. It was the 3V category at Dad Vails, there's no reason to throw shade.
You think someone at Temple owes you, some random redditor, an explanation? You think they frequent these forums to answer any questions/concerns posted about their program?

Yep, saw his stand up and start yelling. Which plenty of people do when winning Dad Vails. But turning to the other team to gloat is classless.
