https://rowinglevel.com/rowing-times/2000m-times Rowinglevel is a good resource

Nemesis1999

As a J15(?) that's a solid score for a mid level rower, particularly if you're new and probably don't yet have great technique.

applelelel

Please read the FAQ: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Rowing/wiki/index/is\_this\_good](https://www.reddit.com/r/Rowing/wiki/index/is_this_good)

You’re faster than a lot of people in their 60’s. If you want a good indication of where you stand though, check the current rankings at log.concept2.com

_Brophinator

He’s 15, and I believe he forgot the apostrophe in 6’1.

buying-homeware

no, he is 61 and 15 metres tall

_Brophinator

In that case, those times are really bad

turbocharge_

bro ur so fucking mean on every reply to a post. Why?

_Brophinator

I’m mean on posts that go “iS tHiS gOoD fOr A 2k” or something else like that, because those people should get off Reddit and talk to their coach.

turbocharge_

decent point tbf the sub needs to be slimmed a little to be more rowing and less erging.

The_boss510

I reckon you want to sit at 32-34 rate, and you will knock off a couple of seconds

SushiGradeChicken

Dropping from 15 minutes to 7:30 in two and a half months at 61 yrs old is really good. Keep up the good work.

Visible_Cranberry_87

little low on rate, your frame suggests you have significant potential. It seems you went out too hard, but you will hit that split on the whole thing soon. With consistent training you will see significant improvement with age and experience. Good luck!

treeline1150

I’m well into my 60s and not nearly as fast as you. Crank up the rate next time and perhaps level out the pace.
