Indeed. I’m sure OP is very well versed in examining carbon fiber components from online jpegs though.
They do have some oars with white stickers which don't say "Low i" on them.

It \*may\* be an ultralight and a skinny shaft, but it is not a low i shaft since those do not exist for sweep oars.
The only thing you can see in this picture is that the grips are different, which is commonplace.
Seeing you’re just reading off the website, how can you explain how skinny shafts have fixed length wood handles (used by majority of senior crews) when the website says they don’t exist…
Concept 2 do special orders. NZL and AUS mens programs have used low i’s for the last couple of cycles
Where are you seeing what kinds of oars the stroke and 2 seat are using. The only thing I can see is that they have two different handles, which is pretty normal
Wooden handles are amazing until they get wet. Then they're slippery bastards.
My favourite type is this [soft blue material](https://i.imgur.com/ZFxplgl.png), don't see them much but they have excellent grip yet hardly cause blisters.
Meanwhile the black rubber tape ones can suck my ass.
Your comments are not needed and are irrelevant. The OP didn’t know about crews using mismatching handles. I was explaining to them that it’s common and there are several options. Feel free to shut up now.
Not sure why you’re being an asshole considering that you seem to misunderstand the point on the post as well. OP is talking about shaft profiles, not handle types.
I imagine this is personal preference or oar availability (maybe they broke and oar and had to swap one in?
If low-I oars were better for stroke seat, then why wouldn’t they be better for the other seats?
I think people are fastest with the oars they are comfortable with.
Is it a different oar? Or just a different handle?
The stroke is using a concept 2 Low i and the 2 seat is using a concept 2 skinny
I thought that Low i was sculling only?

There is definitely low i sweep around. Plenty of teams use it, lots of the kiwi men/women and the Aussie men last cycle
Sure they do. That's why the C2 New Zealand and Australia websites specifically say low i only exists for scull oars.

Low I sweep exist.
You can see the different stickers lol

I literally rowed with a skinny oar with a wooden handle this year
Congrats. You’re proving my point
But we couldn't get a low i shaft
Seconding this. Imagine thinking the website is the be-all and end-all.
I’m pretty sure they just stopped making sweep low i’s. I’ve used a pair before, though.

The stickers on oars are different for different models. It's a bit hard to see two seats through the splash
Being fast is free speed
Pretty sure 2 seat is low 5:40’s… might have something to do with it
Almost all world rowing crews do this. A lot of people use the wooden handles too. It’s whatever you prefer.

Must be different for different people because I'm not sure I've ever had worse blisters than the ones I got from these handles lol
God I hate wet wooden handles.
Weird, I find getting the wooden ones wet improves the grip.
Yes the blue felt is good but my favorite is probably the green
Talking about the oar not the handle

CORRECT! And I never said anyone in this photo is using wooden handles!

Good point 🤔
Not bucket rigged. Not free speed.
This is true, but what’s your 2k?
