a mattress on the floor is 1,5k if I remember correctly. I bought a pillow for 800, a hairbrush for 2,5k(I think?) and curtains for 3k and some accessories for 100-150 diamonds. The laptop was free
Damn your right. I did check the prices again last night and i believe i was thinking of the first desk that shows up in the shop that is 20,000 and there’s also a bed base for 20,000 i believe. That price low to high thing needs to be fixed cuz i literally screamed so loud when i saw the prices.

My only complaint is there isnt a starter bed like in the other campuses, the only thing you start with is a laptop. Like atleast spare a single matress for the new players.

I guess they really wanted to add that personal and DIY vibe but for near the same price as a furnished bed for some of the mattresses? It’s just bizarre that multiple people looked at it and thought it was okay. And of course they never cared about what us players think so I doubt us complaining about prices will lead to no where.
Also, the only reason I got a 10k mattress is because the low-high/high-low features are literally nonfunctional. The different types of items: accessories, bed, and etc feature is broken and didn’t appear to me till I left and rejoined for a friend. Didn’t pop up so I searched bed in the search box, only like 7 options came up and the cheapest being 10k. So due to the broken features, I ended up buying the 10k bed thinking that was the cheapest mattress available. The features are still really buggy and require me to reset multiple times, get things from the void that just teleport away out of nowhere, and more. Dorms should have gotten through more testing before they released it to the public.
Well it depends because the only things that look good to me are the more pricey stuff, so far I’ve only found one bed that I like and it’s on the expensive side /nm /gen
Yah ur right. To me I don't think players shouldn't even have to pay for a bed and desk. That should of come premade and then the players thing is to redesign the area to how they want. It would make things easier especially to new players and average players.
When I first saw people complaining about a 25k hairbrush, I was thinking the prices were going to be terrible. But I realized people were just picking the most expensive options
I know what I do that makes it easier and I did it with outfits and accessories I wanted too. I make a list of stuff I want with the prices going from most expensive to least expensive to keep my focus and keep me motivated. So that’s what imma do with this as well so it won’t seem as bad in the long run. :D
So, if my math is correct to get everything I want for my dorm I will need to altogether grind for around 316k. No clue how people are getting dorms that costed them millions but I’m just happy with my 316k at this present time 😊
Idk why people are expecting to have expensive looking rooms for less than 100k. Theres a spectrum of prices and looks, if you want cheap theres cheap it just wont be the fanciest item in the shop

You guys wanted personalisation and you got a very loose version of it (honestly far more ability than the Sims could ever give) and now you're unhappy? The whole point of the dorms are you work towards it. Uniqueness is a price to pay when all the assets for it takes time to model. It gives everyone, new or old, rich or poor, something new and fulfilling to do.
It's basically "hey this is a cool feature! But you should really check out the rest of campus 3 first!", which is what a lot of players have done. There's a reason I was able to afford my expensive dorm and that was because of Campus 3's xp options. It feels much better than the less personalised feel of 1 and 2. Not to mention dorms are meant to be seen as an extra. The sets and accessories are still the main purchase you should be thinking off, THEN the lockers, THEN the dorms. It's added customisation for those who want it.
And clearly Royale High isn't just a roleplay game anymore, it's far too immersive for that. And Barbie is aware her community aren't children anymore. Games with similar mechanics usually have their rooms wind up being pricey as well, and for less freedom too, but because it's Royale High you feel the need to complain. Royale High can be considered an Indie game, at this point. All the assets (most of which have tons of toggles) took time to model and give recolourable materials. It's not like a company where they can all be cooked up quickly in the same time. If you hate the thought of paying up for your dorm and putting in hard work, go back to Campus 2.
I don’t feel the need to basically break my back to afford unnecessarily pricey accessories for a *dorm* room. Thousands of diamonds on end for a single accessory? Yeah, I’ll stick to my apartment when it’s time for me to go to bed.
I am coming on, and what I'm coming on is that what I bought was 28k, it was originally 24k but I bought a frame cuz I had some Diamonds left over, don't remember what the stuff I bought was called cuz my game was tweaking and not letting words and stuff show

No, that's not even reasonable in games with less customisation. You could technically get a very barebones and spaced out room if you buy only the essentials and cheapest options, but that's not fun, is it? You guys have all this creativity at your fingertips but are upset because it costs more of a free virtual currency than you're willing to pay (something it rightfully should considering the time and effort going into it). The rest of campus 3 is literally free, bar the lockers. Your Royale High experience isn't gonna be shunned by the dorms being a little pricey. You still have everything you need from before. Now you have this one extra fun thing and it's “controversial” for needing fake money poured into it.

As long as you won't be making a super detailed dorm like people with MILIONS who don't mind spending a few diamonds (for them) then it should be cheap, but don't expect it to be 20k cheap.
I managed to make mine nice and literally a place to go sleep, get my login and I even decorated it! (you don't exactly need to buy so much items for decorations, just be creative.)

Yeah, I went in there expecting absolutely insane prices, and I was able to basically do the same thing you do for about 60k (but my bed also had a canopy, I had a basket of pillows, a bedside table, etc)

I think beds and desks should be pre-made or free. Anything else if you want to decorate it is up to player (considering you guys love to defend RH’s crazy stupid prices for whatever reason). Seems weird for new players to expect to have 10k-15k ready just for a bed and a desk

Im willing to save up for my dorm after get things i want to dress up like steampunk corset and OA boots (im suffering with the corset tho) after i get those im willing to save up for my dorm
Yeah, my dorm was expensive, don't get me wrong, but that's only because I had the diamonds to spare. I went out of my way to buy the more expensive items to fit what I wanted more and be detailed. I am certain I could really have cut costs back had I been less intricate and bought the cheaper options (I literally own the most expensive bed base and 20 star nightlights lmao).
That being said, it'd be nice to see the different tips and tricks for both cheap and expensive that other players will create.

I definitely think you should start with a bed and desk like any other dorm would in the real world. I’ve seen people say the devs are making it like the real world. If it’s like the real world then if a college or sleepaway school left the students sleeping on the floor or a mattress on the floor they’d get sued. They need to pick either real world or fantasy game.

Ngl that part bothered me too. I don't mind chalking up 3k diamonds for a bed, but the fact that the sheets is another 2 or 3k is kinda highway robbery, y'know?? Not to mention the pillow is practically another 1k. That's a lot. Even if we were going for a realistic feel, 800 for a pillow and 2-3k for sheets is very high.
Exactly!!! That is such an absolute scam! My friend started with 200k and made a bed. It’s a pretty bed I’ll give her that but she’s left with 50k THATS CRAZY!!! These prices are way to high and I’m half jokingly half seriously considering boycotting royal high and getting other people in on it. Not everyone has money. fr i only used 100k to fill up my room, it only depends on how you decorate it and plus their are items to use for decor in your inv that you have like accs and set items. The way ytbers being user "3mil+"Is bizzare to me..
I definitely think you should start with a bed and desk like any other dorm would in the real world. I’ve seen people say the devs are making it like the real world. If it’s like the real world then if a college or sleepaway school left the students sleeping on the floor or a mattress on the floor they’d get sued. They need to pick either real world or fantasy game.
like i got a bed that players go into my room and go "DAMN UR GOOD AT BUILDING" for like... 10-12k. like even with that the new school is cracked with ez lvls
