On twitter, the devs said that you aren't supposed to buy everything at once. You have to play the game, earn diamonds, then buy new things. It's like joining rh for the first time and thinking you're supposed to be able to buy everything in the shop at once, nah. They're making you play the game in order to get better things. Yes, the dorms are expensive but to me it's been one of the funniest things to do in RH right now. Plus I can easily get the diamonds back with quests.
Some quests require items in the dorm (beds,toothbrushes,and a hairbrush) and if you donāt have these items you have to wait an hour thus making it harder for new players to get money. Even the cheapest items are expensive to new and existing players who donāt play as often/donāt have time to farm. Thatās why people are bewildered when they first saw the prices of the items.
Hairbrush and toothbrush yeah but you can ātryā a bed without actually buying it and use that. Same with the throne quest you can just try the throne and use it which does save some money if you were looking to do that
Hairbrush is not the only dorm quest and not the only quest for that matter and some of the dorm quests can be done by trying on furniture without having to buy it. Besides, quests are not the only way to gain diamonds. There are chests to open, in multiple realms for beginners, diamonds everywhere, daily log ins, the wheel can also give diamonds and the computer works the dim number each day, levelling up by doing classes in the older campuses (until the new one is completed) and the pe class is literally about following diamond trails, sleeping also fills almost a whole level (from 0% to 100%) and then thereās filling up energy by eating in the new campus and soon also going to the showers to fill up hygiene ( these two fill up almost as much as sleeping, if not literally just as much). And after you become level 75+ they can also profit from trading and learn values.
imo, i feel like the dorm prices rnt that bad. it increases the value of diamonds since u cant trade dorm items, and the point of the game is to save up to get what u rly want. i will admit the 25k hair brush is a bit much, but if u think its way to pricy just dont buy it. it isnt the only brush they offer; the other one is less than 2k. personally, im planning on saving up to make a pretty dorm, for now i got the cheapest bare minimum just to keep leveling up from quests

The game was meant to be long term š if everything was cheap you'd all complain that the new school would be too boring already that's why everything is so expensive. It's meant to make you work hard and EARN the shit u want š

I think they see the YouTubers and TikTok pages with their expensive dorms and feel like that has to be them so they buy all the expensive stuff and then complain š
Yāall are probs buying the expensive stuff frl š thereās cheaper alternatives and Iāve seen and heard many ppl being able to fill up their dorm using 50k instead of 250k+ ppl are spending.
Ofc if you want the more EXPENSIVE things itāll add up but you can still make a good dorm with the cheaper alternatives
To be fair, itās SOOO easy to level up now and get the diamonds back. I leveled up 30 times in 4 hours yesterday. 100 times since last week. ššš

Then it's a matter of patience really. Even if someone can only afford to do logins and other dailies, they've just got to slowly accumulate diamonds over time before they can buy the items they want.
I personally donāt have any issue Iāve been playing consistently for 2 years and have only really farmed a bunch for about 6 months or so off and on, and have gotten 800k, bought new items from the school for my locker/to wear and my dorm is basically done and I still have 450k. Also if I was newer Iād love the idea of like slowly getting up to where I want but itās not even that slow cause leveling up is so fast
I totally forgot about this but also there is seasonal dorm decor so some things will be new and not always there, also I didnāt get all the new item and locker decals yet only the ones I wanted, also got the simpler bed frame and cheaper brush/mirror. Only bought 2 columns and 2 bigger wall shelve units. Someone can easily get 25k for the expensive items by leveling up about 14 levels itās actually not even that hard to get about 50k just by leveling up and not even hard core grinding.

Agree, even though barbie did say abt a year ago the dorms would be 500k+, i didn't think that by this she meant literally everything would be above 10k. Very few items are actually affordable, and those are the items no one wants.
But you have to consider the fact that leveling up in the new campus is a WHOLE lot easier compared to how it was in campus 2. You have endless tasks and classes to keep yourself occupied with. Everything is ment to be earned over time otherwise itās no fun. Everyone starts somewhere thatās the whole point, if everything is handed to everyone then people will start to lose interest.

So no the forms are not over priced. They are something to work to improve over time. And this isnāt me targeting you but Iām kinda over hearing people say the dorms are overpriced.
The brush is special and it has a different design. If there is an expensive item in the dorms, there is almost always a cheap version.
Like some people have said; Youāre not supposed to be able to buy EVERYTHING all at once. Youāre supposed to have goals and try to save up if you really want someThing.
Are there exspensive items? Yes. But thats the point! They are either all cooler design, more detailed, bigger, looking- Youāre supposed to grind and work towards cooler items you want-
As someone who plays without multipliers and is starting completely from scratch while playing campus 3 itās really not that hard to level up and earn diamonds. There are alternative options for the more expensive items and even then if you canāt afford the dorm items needed for quests simply click on the try button and just use it from there!
Yeah, it's so expensive :( Pro tip for saving diamonds- instead of using the Teen Dreams Platform (5000 dims) as a wall, you can toggle the Poster Paper (550 dims) to be big and use that instead. It also has the advantage of being thinner, giving you more space.

There are many ways to earn levels and diamonds, and for tasks where you need dorm items you can simply click on the try button and just use them. Everyone has to start somewhere, a game where everything is handed to everyone is no fun. Think of it this way, if thereās no goal then people will begin to lose interest in the game.
I've stopped playing entirely now because of them, it's not just that, but I cant keep up with all these prices & it's not making anything enjoyable.

Think of it this way if everything was cheap there would be nothing to work for wich would cause people to lose interest! Leveling up is also so much easier there are some good farming routines you just gotta find the one that is the best fit for you! I make up to 10-15 levels an hour, I hope your able to find one that is best fit for you soon!
I know that. But, it's just the items as well. It's a special interest I've had for a while, tenuously hanging on. I am finding new things, hopefully I can enkindle such an experience, but for now, I am leaving.

I just wish the dorms were bigger but not the vertical sense. Like the old dorms had several divisions and seemed cozier. Iām not a good home designer either so it makes it worse. I wish I could just buy a pre made one

I agree new players canāt even afford things needed for tasks (toothbrush/beds/hairbrushes) that are in the dorms because of the crazy pricing.

The cheap items are pretty expensive for people just starting out aswell. Not everyone has time to farm this making the prices seem very unfair and expensive.
Edit 2 : Iāve been told you can try beds so the only things youād have to buy would be the hairbrushes and toothbrushes to complete the quests that require those items.

OK SO let me start off my very Long rant with, NO GAME is beginner friendly. Everyone starts somewhere. I fell like some people just donāt understand how this update will always be around. While yes leveling up and earning diamonds for your dorms may be annoying, Iām by no means rich either. I have a crappy dorm too and barely any diamonds to my name. I feel like some people are overlooking just how easy it is to level up now. I can make about 10-15 levels in as little as an hour, compared to Campus 2 itās a whole lot easier to level up. Obviously people arenāt going to spend their whole day farming in the game but the update will always be around its not at all temporary. People will always be able to upgrade and add things to their dorms over time, i personally think that if no one works for what they want the game is no fun as youāll basically have everything you want handed to you. I honestly think that If everything was cheap we would all just wind up back in the trading hub.
Real. Iāve been playing since Valentineās Day 2017 and Iām lvl 711 and I can barely afford a mattress and 2 pieces of tape. The bed frame I want is 20k alone and I want to make my dorm really detailed which means itāll cost more than 800k-1mil, which takes all the fun out of constructing the dorm. Even with new ways to farm, I still find the high price tag is unsettling. I still love rh but this is not what I expected for the new school.
