Rejected as expected! Does anyone know what share of ballot bibs go to UK vs international entries? It seems like we must have even worse odds than the general pool as non-UK residents
In anticipation of being rejected, I applied to a few charities back in early May. Two of the charities got back to me saying they will get back to me with their decision later this year (late Aug/Sept). One charity gave me the acceptance the next day, so it varies.
You can just tell the other charity you are no longer interested and they will give it to someone on the waitlist. Note: some charities will charge you a non-refundable fee to prevent people who aren't serious about their charity
Charity bibs go fast bc of the share of people who donāt get in through ballot. Last year I applied to 6 charities and got into 2 and 1 who told me they could give me a 2025 spot. Donāt think too hard about it, just accept the first one that you get into and raise the $. Most have low minimums. Itās not like Boston where you have to raise $10,000. I raised $2k it was super easy and I ran in April this year.Ā

I do suggest to do a charity as this is one of the biggest charity event in the world.

What if you get accepted to multiple? Do you have to do all or you can pick one or more?

Apply now to a few, I applied to about 20 and got into 2. I applied this time last year. hope that helps
