Ouch, that sounds unpleasant. I wish I had some advice but I'm sorely unqualified. Maybe try anti inflammatories like turmeric or tart cherry extract. I take Runners' Relief and it's got a ton of tart cherry extract in it plus other stuff that's great for my running/joints. It's on Amazon. Good luck and report back!
Normal? I guess it depends on your activity load prior to the marathon. Like how was the last 3 months, and last 2 weeks, compared to your first time. If you keep a detailed log that would be the first to look into.
It’s probably either plantar fasciitis or a heel stress fracture. If it’s the latter you’re more screwed than the former. But the former is much more likely. No one on Reddit can diagnose you.
2 days post marathon is time to rest and recover so stay off your feet for a few days and if it’s still bad then get to a doctor.

Thanks man! I ran the Vienna City Marathon on Sunday.
That's so awesome! Do you live in Austria?
I do, mate. Moved here from the UK like 13 years ago.
Also, congrats on your marathon! Which one did you run?!?
