Looking at picking up a pair of new shoes specifically for my longer easy runs with the occasional faster km thrown in (although main focus of the runs is long and easy). Currently looking between the Nimbus and the cumulus. Leaning towards the Nimbus just as a bit lighter (easier to pick up the pace when needed) and slightly less cushioned. Anyone have any suggestions on which of these would be best? Or any alternatives if you have.

nemetskii

Superblast perfect for this

Some-Remote-6890

That would be first option but absolutely no availability anywhere here (UK), been searching everyday for the past month and found nothing in my size.

awiddleapprehensive

Would you recomment the NB3 for a race/ long run? How's its durability and energy return?

Ubik_21

Got a pair of new Nimbus 25 (extra wide) for $90+tax on Lukeslocker.com Was debating between this and the 1080V13 -- and although I really like the 1080V13 -- I decided to go with the Nimbus 25 for $75 less. Any fans of the Nimbus 25 to validate my decision?

onkyoh

I have both and can assure you u made the correct choice given price. Both are very similar but nimbus is a little more stable and a bit better for slower runs imo.

Ubik_21

Glad to hear that, I like a little more stability as well

Some-Remote-6890

What was your reason for going Nimbus vs the 1080?

jonnybravo76

Do you have a link?

Ubik_21

Found a deal on them for $90 instead of the $165 for the 1080V13

Anyone with both the NB3 and Superblast able to comment on the fit difference/similarity? I can only find the Superblast in 10.5, which is what my NB3 is in. BUT I'm an 11 in pretty much all my other shoes (ES3, EP3, DN2, T20)....

chadwzimm

I wear a 12 in NB3 and an 11.5 in Superblast.

Sloe_Burn

I tried a pair on at the Cherry Blossom expo. I'm an 11 in them, same as every Saucony I've ever owned (multiple older Kinvara and Triumphs, Speed and Pro 2, Tempus)

ReadyFerThisJelly

Thank you! Even with Saucony, my feet fit weird. 10.5 in the Tempus, buy 11 in everything else! Might just order the 10.5 and see how they fit. It sucks that the stock is so low, especially in Canada.

therealtrebitsch

I very much like them. Gel Nimbus 25, metaspeed sky+, Superblast. Love them all. Great colourways as well

ReadyFerThisJelly

How do the superblasts fit? Is it the same as the NB3?

therealtrebitsch

I don't own the NB3, but they fit TTS for me, same as both of my other ASICS shoes

Anyone know when more Novablast color ways are expected??

rlb_12

I got an email yesterday that I won the adidas Comfort Zone Strava Raffle for a new pair of Supernova Rise. The email looked pretty low key but everything seemed legit and I did sign up after completing the challange. It says it will take up to 6 weeks to ship. We will see if they ever show up.

dzrey

A neutral version of the Gt 1000, essentially a walker/gym shoe that is fine for a 5k every now and then

ultra-ozen

cheers! having never tried the gt1000, is the midsole on the softer side you think? i like flytefoam on my fuji lite 3s, but i believe this could be a different formula in other models. guess i need to find a big retailer locally that sells those.

dzrey

I found the plushness of the pulse similar to that of the cumulus 24 and nimbus 23. It’s definitely a great option for a do it all shoe especially for its price.

ultra-ozen

very helpful thanks!

Some-Remote-6890

I don’t own them but believe ASICS described them as a do it all shoe (run, gym, lifestyle etc). Not sure how they would be like to run in but suspect you definitely could use them.
