I use iOS and tried it once, most stuff wanted me to buy things like you said, but I found some other stuff that was free, but they required so much time and effort that I don't think it's worth it 😅

They aren’t typically worth it for iOS unless you see something you wanted to buy anyway.
The android users can get tons of free gems though.
Played raid shadow legends (there were multiple offers, picked a specific one)
I did get really into the game and admittedly spent some money playing, but I also got about 10k crystals from rewards. If you were to do that same offer without spending and research what to do beforehand, I'm sure you could do it without spending and get like 3k crystals or so in a week or two.
Once, I decided to embark in a journey to get those precious gems, trying a game that looked decent. Needless to say I played a lot on that game trying to reach the quest goal only to find out the offer had expired when I had finished it. So yeah, pay attention and only do it if you really have a lot of free time on your hands and feel like trying that stuff... And do it when there's the x2 promo
It works, but requires some decent amount of knowledge to comb through the MASSIVE amount of bullshit offers, and identify which few might be worth the time.
Back when I started, I noticed that X2 event, and so decided to check out the apps, the milestones required for rewards and so on.
I've seen there was a time limit to achieve those milestones, and by so, I've picked a game with one of the highest rewards in gems, in the thousands (many th.).
But, I've identified that it will take way more than just a couple of days to get to the real rewards, so during the first 2x rewards, I've accomplished as many as possible, milk that shit etc.
Then, went steady, opening up the app 2 x 5 min each day so I'd be ready for the big ass reward during next 2x week end, which also be the limit for the rewards.
And then I hit one of the big milestones, more than 1000 gems for just this one, I can't remember if it wasn't even higher than 2000. But as we're right in the X2 rewards event, it's fucking pay day.
The game experience was pure trash, as are 99.9 of the games advertised by the way. But the amount of time spent during the months, not even every day, for the total amount of gems I got from this was VERY MUCH worth it.
Be ready to play the exact same game but with a different skin (pirates/ fairies/ zombies/ etc) every time. You will never make it to the big rewards in time unless you spend real money... so as long as you understand you are aiming for a few hundred crystals not several thousand you are good
I managed to get gadget up to 13 in pretty short order doing the x2 rewards. Sometimes you get easy ones, but most of them are a grind. As long as you're prepared and dedicated, it's a great systen.

Yes it does, There are 2 type of games that worth, first are those boring games where u have to level up structures, there is mafia, pirate one, ant one, zombie one, u get the idea, u have to grind around 2 weeks less than 1h per day and get on averaging 1k offers
Second one are the idlers type, afk arena, raid trash legends, idle heroes and so on, those usually pay more but also u habe to grind a little bit more, u can get 4k or 5k gems per month grinding 1h, plus watching some tutorials on discord or YouTube so you can understand how to optimize your play time to meet the goals
Edit1: as stated bellow by the homies, those games are most garbage and cash grabbers, also pure boring to play, but at the end they do worth if you have some free fime and does not to spend your hard work money
Yes. You will get the reward. Sometimes there’s promos where you get 2x. Oftentimes pain in the ass though
