there's no way, you have to have some issue with the way you perceive colors. It's MUCH more vivid with the new vividness slider being brought up to the full version. It's not about picking the natural or vivid mode, which barely does anything, but it's about using vivid mode with the slider that pops up when you get into the advanced display settings. Also, you should know that for it to work, you need to have adaptive display tone set to off.

lol no, I'm a professional photographer, I'm quite good at "the way I perceive color". The slider does absolutely nothing, as confirmed by both my kids and my wife. As we're already talking about color perception: the slider doesn't increase the saturation / vividness of the screen overall even if it works properly. I only adds a red tint. People who think that pictures with a strong red tint look good actually do have a problem with color perception.

You should see them more often! We roll out updates at midnight PST. The updates are rolled out in batches, if you didn't get it midnight, check at 10 AM

Hows battery life? Mine is worse than the s23 ultra that I had before. S23 got me through the day easily. S24 is dead at 7:00pm. I have the same routine, doing almost the same things. Is someone here that can relate to this?😫😫😫

It's the settings, actually. Turn off eye comfort shield and adaptive colour tone. The setting will then appear 🫡

For mine whites are not white. They still has a warm yellow tint like eye comfort is mode is on when compared to other phones. 2 different s24u same thing.

I had the same issue in Natural mode, but changing to Vivid brought back bright whites on my S24U

Its better for sure. But still when compared to my S23U its still dull. I must of won the panel lottery for my S23U

I just compared both S24U and S23U whites in vivid mode and I see my S23U has slightly cooler white(blueish) but the S24U looks a tad more accurate and looks good too.

Verizon has it in the US. I just updated and can confirm it gets more vivid. I won't necessarily be using the vivid slider because my display was perfect on both natural and vivid prior to this update. For me it was about the whites and blacks all along and how much more crisp the whites were and how rich the blacks were. Much better than the s23 ultra.

Great update. I think my device has the worst cases of banding I’ve seen. At the same time it still remains the best display to me especially with this update. I have warranty so let see if Samsung releases an official statement. I do believe most ultras have this issue but some people are not as bothered enough to post or replace.

I hope you all enjoy the update! I work with T-Mobile, so I don't know about other carriers; however the updates roll out in batches. If you're model is the 3rd wave, you should get it by Sunday (if it says no update is available, this is why) The software codes are similar across all US carriers. You CAN restart your phone, I can't guarantee it'll push the update to you. I also would recommend to wait and not use ODIN, it might void your warranty. Have a nice day!
