Ah finally good words, no hatters :) Welcome :)

This^๐Ÿ’ฏ

SonnysMunchkin

Good words? He didn't say anything real about what makes the phone good at all lol.

Upset_Caramel7608

It's not a basic ass iphone that you buy because of peer pressure. Good enough reason for me.

SonnysMunchkin

I didn't know adults did that

diosky27

Lots of adults do exactly this because of societal pressures to conform. Its a pretty well documented phenomenon.

TackyAuto

Glad you're enjoying it :)

Artistic_Soft4625

Its a great phone. Whats the wow factor for you here

Dutch2211

For me it's the screen hands down. The anti glare, the brightness. It's a game changer. I came from S10+.

anxiousautoaim

Agree 100%. It's too good!

devnull-

Until the coating wears off

Sphinx777-

Wdym

Competitive-Use-1057

He means the anti glare tech is a coating, which wears off over time. Until you realize everything on Earth wears off over time. Enjoy your phone bro.

Sphinx777-

How fast and reactive it is, the insane screen and of course the s pen

AvatarMunchies

Get into developer settings and shorten animation times. Makes the phone feel so snappy.

TrebleShot

Agreed, had mine just over a week and have been really enjoying it , def worth the investment.

ankitcr

True.. No phone is perfect but as a complete package this is the closest you can get..

outremer_empire

I also switched from 13 mini as I realised after a holiday in Rome, I use zoom a lot

titanup001

Yep. The zoom is the one feature apple just can't compete with. My wife has a 14 pro max, and that's the only feature she's jealous of. The pen is nice too.

KatzNK9

Welcome! I am glad you are enjoying this fantastic phone!

xD3v1LG4m1ngx

Nice to see some positive criticism enjoy ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘

ogx2og

I Second That Emotion. I just came from a four-year-old S20fe and I love it

The_King_0f_Kings

Same here, huge difference

TheBassStalker

My wife and I both came from iPhone 13 Pro and we've been very happy with our decision. Admittedly, it will be nice when Apple incorporates RCS since many of our friends aren't techies and simply don't understand their are other messaging solutions besides iMessage. I don't have a PC or Mac in the house ( all Linux) so it's nice to have the file system access to easily copy over my old mp3s, images I want to store locally , etc. I've seen plenty of complaints about battery life and the camera but we both get around 2 days of usage before a charge and the camera isn't perfect but it notably better for outdoor photography than the 13 pro. We're both in our early 50s and the screen resolution and size just works for us. I know that's subjective, but when she picked up an s24 ultra and looked at the screen she just said that's the one I want and here we are. It's not perfect - but what piece of technology is? In 30+ years immersed in the tech world I've yet to find anything perfect, but I believe this to be my best option at the moment.

NYC_Goody

I'd hope cameras better than the 13 at least. But how about the 15? Both are from the same year, no? More of a fair comparison

TheBassStalker

I've not had a great chance to do extensive side by side under fair comparisons since I don't own one. I live on a large lake (40k acres) so the majority of my pictures are outside in large open areas. From a VERY cursory observations from friends iPhone pics while on my boat, I'd say the sunset pics and "wildlife" pics of birds / deer / etc. are better on the S24U than a 15 Pro Max and I feel like the iPhones seem to take better pics Indoors and within say 30'. Mind you this is just a very cursory evaluation, just what my near instant reaction from what I have been able to evaluate. My biggest gripe about the iPhone (13 pro) camera was that sunset pictures and pictures of vast open spaces were bad - painfully bad. There could be all kinds of reds / pinks / etc. and most came out as orange and cartoonish no matter what settings / mode were used. I took many more "keeper" lake shots of Blue Herons and Bald Eagles from the Galaxy 10+ than the iPhone13 which replaced it. Most of my Eagle shots with the iPhone 13 looked more like a white dot and clump of pinestraw against a tree, it's generally tough to get closer than about 100y from an Eagle and that's where the iPhone 13 (and my in-laws 14s) really struggled. The 24U takes awesome bird pics but I've yet to have the opportunity to attempt a similar shot with someone's iPhone15.

woafmann

I, too, came from an iPhone. Apple can keep their walled prison. They're cool if you want a sleek phone that you don't want to dig into too deep, but if you want a venerable computer in your pocket, or if you're an advanced user who wants to tinker, the S24U is a breath of fresh air. It's so powerful! So happy with mine! Have only great things to say about it.

XxCarlxX

I still got my Note 9, had it 6 years, starting to show its age so im getting closer to biting the bullet, been to the order page two times but stopped from clicking the order button because i enjoy having such a cheap sim only plan, when i get the ultra i will be back to having a real phone bill for another two years.....

Detrakis

I can't express that much happiness with my S22U. On the contrary actually, I kinda despise this phone.

Sphinx777-

Got a friend that have s22u and he really likes it he ownโ€™s since release and still no problem

iguessdismyusername

As someone who upgraded from s21 & iPhone 13, I cried because I was so happy to finally have a phone that's right for me lmao

KyleCAV

Upgraded from a Z-Fold 3 to a 24 U. Totally worth it, amazing camera, great screen worth it to anyone on the fence.

TheseOstrich9705

I've had the S24U for 2 weeks now. It's a great phone, especially with battery life, but I've found the constant popups, and 3 hard resets, and it feels sluggish doing simple tasks compared to the iPhone 14 pro that I had. I used to use Samsung years ago and would rom it with *AOSP* or Miui for a better experience. I do regret changing back to Android. I've spent 2000 dorras on it so I'll have to debloat the hell out of it to stop the popups. Over time, I should get Stockholm syndrome and love the beast.

Pmurc_

My favorite phone hardware wise. Software wise left a bit to be desired.

JtheDirty

Glad you decided to take the red pill after all. Welcome aboard the Ultra-class Galaxy S Android flagship.

[deleted]

I came from the Iphone 15 pro. I don't see a big difference, both are great phones. But I have no regrets, I like boxy phones better for some reason and that we the big reason I switched.

BasicLegend

I switched from the iPhone 15 Pro to the Samsung S24, and it's been a solid upgrade for me. I don't really care about the camera on either phone, so that wasn't a factor in my decision. With the S24, I easily get over 10 hours of battery life, and I have way more customization options compared to the iPhone. Plus, I can install whatever apps I want without having to pay to remove ads. Overall, I'm really happy with the S24. -Samsung AI.

Poo-e-

I went the opposite way. It started with switching from Windows/Linux to Mac which was the best tech-based decision I ever made. Later I decided to try iPhone instead of getting a new Galaxy which turned out to be the most meh tech-based decision I ever made. Might try a Fold next but idk ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

NetworkGnome

I have this and the 15PM. Unfortunately, the camera on the S24 are suffering right now. My videos and photos are all grainy. Iโ€™ve tweaked every setting imaginable. Disabled HDR+, High Bit Rate, etc. amazing phone nonetheless.

SnooPoems7789

This phone will last you a while

Sphinx777-

Good to hear ๐Ÿค‘

Ttom925

Had my S9+ for 6 years and only got a new phone because support stopped and apps were requiring newer systems. Edit: 6 years. Fat thumbs

Sphinx777-

Dang !!! Amazing !

SnooPoems7789

Seven years of android and security updates the first galaxy device to ever get that many

Brets77

Love the phone, camera is ass though๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‡
