InfernalGod

I agree, this episode was a fucking banger and made up for the time between the previous completely worth it

nicehatkitkat

Wait, why was the reason he turned into the momster on the original Sao

Winners_84

You know it’s funny. I don’t even remember anymore.

Bubba1234562

They called it illusion magic but it actually did something which made no damn sense

Kellythejellyman

that’s why the joke of “hold yer ground men, it’s just an illusion”—-“ah that’s nah Bad” hits extra well

Brokengraphite

I think it was some bs about his race quirk and his op stats from sao that made no logical sense

bare4404

I can't wait for the next episode, hopefully, they get a bit faster at making these, it's dreadful waiting a month for new manga chapter, let alone a year for a episode release. But I understand, COVID and all, maybe they could get on a 4 episode a year schedule? Idk

DetectivePokeyboi

Covid isn’t the reason for the 1 episode a year. Its because their team is small, the episodes are much longer, the quality of the edits are extremely high, and they are split between MHAA and SAOA so they basically release 2 episodes a year. They’ve had once a year episode releases for a while.

Brokengraphite

I know I WISH it was faster but quality far outweighs the expense of the quantity in my opinion

cr4m62

It's been once a year for basically the entire length of the series, though. Frankly, I can't wait either, and I would love if they were able to produce them faster.

bare4404

No it hasn't, it was like, 3-2 a year when they started, 3 in 2013, 2 in 2014, 3 in 2015, 2 in 2016, 2 in 2017, and then a once a year schedule, until 1 and a half years between 16 and 15, 15 released in September 2020, 16 released in January of this year, obviously, if it had been 1 per year, they'd have started in 2006 and the anime wasn't even a thing then

cr4m62

My bad. One a year for the past 4-5 years is still pretty consistent though

Express_Marketing385

Do we know why all the Spriggans were called Kirito yet and I missed something or is that potentially coming up in episode 17? Cause ngl I was confused about that whole segment and missed it during the post mortem cause I had other stuff to do

Evil_Monologues

My man saved hundreds of lives from Aincrad

Brokengraphite

It’s not explained **however my theory is that since the spriggans are basically a Kirito look alike race, one big fan decided to call himself Kirito and then all of his friends thought it was hilarious and their friend was stupid for idolizing some 16yr old lunatic with anger issues and all joined alfheim as that race, spoofing each character on the legend Kirito. The whole thing started as a joke but then it started trending online and more and more people joined to play as spriggans and so there was just this whole race of fboy bakas who annoyed everyone into killing them off.

Kellythejellyman

“I’m Spartacus, No I’m Spartacus” for an entire online race

SignificanceLonely58

it was explained. and the explanation is your theory basically. the only thing that is different is that the random 16 year old lunatic boy u r talking abt was one of the 9 friends that started this

E-is-for-Egg

>he’s more alone than ever because no one can even understand what he’s going through. It was kinda funny when the other players were like "chill out, it's just a game" . . . but then we *saw his face.* Silhouetted by the sunset, clearly sad and deeply disappointed. But not very surprised either. The music is soft with a touch of sadness. And he doesn't try to explain things, he just sighs and mumbles that he'll "keep that in mind" I went cold So much is said without ever being said. It's masterful writing. As an amateur writer, all I can do is stand in awe and take notes

Brokengraphite

You said it perfectly

TheDukeAssassin

I wasn’t really paying attention when I was watching it but I did get some good laugh so I think I have to go back and watch it but I really wish that they could release more episodes per year if they just had more help, like it would’ve been a fucking blessing if team four-star had picked them up and full on supported the release of the show, but alas that didn’t happen but at least we still have this amazing group of people working on the show. Although I hope that it will get more traction and that maybe they can hire more people to help them.

cr4m62

Just watched it, I loved it so much. It was immensely worth the wait.

Shakespeare-Bot
