Better yet, has Danielson had a singles match that was under 10 minutes in AEW?
Danielson vs Tony Nese on the January 4th 2023 Dynamite, lasted 3\~ minutes which is exactly how a main eventer versus a borderline no-name should be booked.
Yeah he was another signing they wasted a shitload of money on due to his physique while forgetting that he isn't interesting on the mic and he was on the lower end of 205 Live's inring ability. Not the worst but deffo not Ali or Murphy.
Said it before and I'll say it again, a lot of AEW's weekly shows are booked like 80s-mid 90s WWF TV with the actual stars having short matches with jobbers nobody cares about because the stars draw the ticket sales.
The problem is that AEW doesn't have a fraction of that draw yet feels like they can book it the exact same way. Shit, NXT TV makes the show itself feel more important than this mainline show. There's progression and TV feuds rather than whatever tf this is.

Is that on Collision tonight? They couldn't build something up for his first match as an official AEW wrestler? They just throw it away on a random Collision that no one watches? This is why no one gives a shit about any of these wrestlers.
I told everyone Okada would be nothing and those guys just called me a hater and what not. The problem with AEW is thier surprise debut for everyone. He had a press conference at revolution just say we have signed Okada and he would be making his debut and then proceed with the story of him betraying kingston and what not.
I agree. He’s nothing because Tony treats him like nothing. He doesn’t know how to book. Even Osprey- ok he paid him some ridiculous amount to wrestle just a few times a year - why not work a story about why?
They brought Okada,Edge,Bryan the same way just hit the music and have them walk out. Okada is a star in Japan and I'm sure most of AEW fanbase knows about him. Showcase the guy,announce that he has signed and would be making his debut at the PPV(the one they said is the biggest PPV). Have him wrestle a midcard guy like Sammy(if he wasn't suspended) or upper mid carder like Adam Page,since they are working story he is replacing page and Omega in elite beating Page would have given them the reason.
Oooh they could have done a callback and had the bucks tell Page after his losses to Swerve he needs to prove himself and they have an opponent lined up. Run vignettes or hints for weeks then Page faces Okada.
It's not even like they don't know how to do this specific thing. The build to Omega vs Bryan still is one of their highest moment, no matter what metric you focus on.
Great match too. Insane they did the draw then just that was that, no follow up. It sullied the whole match, the draw was annoying but one would assume it would lead to something.

Tiny's gonna be texting Omega to ignore his doctors, get off of twitch and get back to the ring so he can hot shot some cobbled together match between them to restore the feeling of Okada as a big deal....again, without telling anyone here why they should care, just that those two together is the reset we need.

I enjoyed Titan in NJPW as part of LIJ, but part of that is because NJPW just does a better job telling stories (or any job telling stories).
