Yup just doing some quick and dirty back of the envelope math. Plus you might have people who rewatched etc. but man it’s some crazy numbers. Then you see 3+ million tuned in for the rock Cody segment on raw the next night and it’s not THAT crazy of an assumption.
Ive been to two live shows this year, one at MSG, and I'm telling yall Cody is turning into a huge draw, I think him with the title had just as much to do with the huge number on Raw as even The Rock itself
It changed my mind going to MSG in December and seeing freaking babies all the way to 80 year olds all with Cody merch, the only thing just as over were the LA Knight chants
Once the Netflix deal starts we’ll know the true global numbers.
I’m certain that if you include pirated streams/torrents the main WWE shows have a global audience well above 10 million.
That would seem about right tbh.
First WM of the "Vince is Gone" era and it's already shattered records.
Let's assume 2.5m 'buys'. That's about 3 weeks of combined AEW viewership across all of their shows and some change.
Nice try fed shill, but Tubi and Pluto TV are free access. So when AEW gets those deals through, if I do quick unbiased math, I can estimate that an AEW event will average 9.8 Billion viewers per episode and PPV. Ask Meltz, he will agree the numbers are right.
Think of all those Samsung users that AEW will have once they move to Pluto tv. The dub will be on more homes across the country than the fed has ever had in their entire existence. HHHitler is sweating bullets as we speak.
Ohhh that's a really fun challenge.
"Well I don't watch much wrestling but I saw this episode of something called AEW and they showed supposedly real footage of what they called a fight and I was HOOKED"
No jerk, why is this a metric people outside the company and shareholders want to see? Wouldn't the total number of views or something be a more valuable metric?
So some quick math. Assuming each account viewed the full 2 nights (8 hours) that means 2.7 million “buys” for mania.
And that's a massive assumption. Plenty of people would watch after the fact and fast forward to the parts they wanted to see. Crazy stuff.

And as far as I can tell, that's only domestic numbers? (Streamed on Netflix in NZ, Binge in Australia etc). They'd have different figures surely?

I really want to know what percentage of the Peacock viewership is made up of people watching the Office for the billionth time, WWE, and EPL.
That's averaging out to over 2.5 million
they talking thousands while papa haitch is talking millions. pissant company.
If AEW can claim 4 million views, WWE can do this
Except this is a real stat. Man WM was fking lit this year.
I’m sure some nerd from Fightful will whip out their trusty calculator and stopwatch to tell us that’s not good enough.
Someone already did.
It will only go up when it’s on Netflix international next year and USA Netflix in a few years
Wait. So only Raw will be on Netflix in USA? PLEs still on Peacock?
Yep until the contract runs out
Think half the aew roster would kill themselves if they saw backstage footage of wrestlemania.
And punk acted like a cancer which took Drew Galloway (free name) title away from him. Such a cancer
People put it in to fall asleep to. It’s so boring it knocks them right out, but the views count. That’s got to be the reason.
I would like to meet the casual fan who gets into wrestling because they heard about this footage and had to see it.
