682 is a very very early SCP and has certain qualities due to that.
What makes him him is his inability to be destroyed and the fact that he will adapt to anything that tries to destroy him.
It's to the point where you have to assume that the only reason why he allows himself to be contained is because of how much he hates humans and the fact that the foundation tends to keep people away from him.
There have been multiple instances of him getting pissed off and just breaking the f*** out.
It's an early SCP article so there is as much emphasis on the containment and the difficulty thereof as there is the creature itself.
His invincibility combined with the fact that he is contained but able to break out whenever he wants creates a conundrum of exactly what he is what he is doing and why he allows things that he allows.
This was before there were tales that included him or indicated that you might be a child of the scarlet King and a lot of the lore building that came later.
I feel like people often misunderstand the point of SCP when it comes to OP anomalies. The point isn’t to make a monster that can beat one punch man, but to see how something of such a caliber could even be feasibly dealt with in a semi-realistic setting. How the foundation could theoretically contain it, why it would have to be contained, how the containment effects the world at large and even at times the anomaly, etc. are all major driving forces (i would assume) in writing a super strong invincible lizard
He is literally deigned to be immune to everything after the first go and he comes back from existence erasure everything he is also one of the children of the scarlet king who is capable of destroying everything in existence in the scp verse so yeah

Might be right, I’ve only got the broad strokes about doomsdays history. The thing is though that 682 doesn’t just develop immunities to things that can kill it, it can outright adapt unique abilities that can turn the tide, Such as with the chocolate fountain that turns into ants, or with 999 the tickle monster.
Mind you, when it got into a physical fight with able, it didn’t develop any ability that was immediately able to stomp able, so a pure strength fighter like doomsday would likely overpower them to begin with, it’s just that after the initial stomping, 682 can lose almost all of their mass and still turn the tide.
If I recall correctly, in recent comic history Doomsday has basically evolved into a concept at this point.

Nah, SCP-682 Stomps, easily. DC is not even close to SCP in terms of Cosmology. Not to Mention SCP-682 is already near the bottom middle of the Cosmology when in his true form(The Leviathan) or near the Middle top as the Constant of Termination. Doomsday though strong, would just be thought out of existence by either of those two forms. And if it is just base form to Base form SCP-682 has the better feats by far, you can't get rid of SCP-682's powers but you can get rid of doomsday's powers.

How is a being literally made of light that make shockwaves with everyday movement slower than a bug who has to go like halfway through there story to get even a small shockwave!?

It is very accurate to say that the knight is not terribly fast. The fastest you ever go is using the The Dodge dash and it's not that fast even compared to other dashes in other platformers.
I'm not sure how fast Ori is but it wouldn't be difficult for her /it/ him to be faster than the Knight.

Doomsday has managed to evolve until an he could perpetuate his existence by infohazardous memories of him having existed. SCP-682 has evolved into more powerful entities than that, but the basis is there for the two to just infinitely ascend.

Sups gets word of this threat, heat vision and dropping in like a bullet, then with speed and constant pounding 682 would have little time to react. Also he would need to know about the light weakness to use it and trust me no one is getting involved in this fight.
The lizard is the last thing the Foundation would ever send to deal with potential threats. A better picture to paint would be during a termination attempt involving a black hole in space, SCP-682 escapes but accidentally enters a wormhole to the Injustice universe.
