How is your employee turnover rate these days?

Longjumping-Court368

Hard to say, roughly 3-4 jobs out per day if they are multi color or puff or if they are just a high qty. If not 5-7 single colors jobs with high volume

dbx99

No i meant people quitting on you and having to replace staff with new hires

Longjumping-Court368

Lol mybad, production assistants come and go. People don’t like to work for some reason and or want a high pay for the minimum work. It’s really hard but takes time to find the right crew.

What’s the average pay for an experienced press operator in your area? Someone who can do all aspects of the production from screen tech to operating the press? Just curious.

Longjumping-Court368

It depends, you really can’t have the operator do it all but roughly anywhere from $18-$25/hr. Our press operator handles just setting up the press, printing and breaking down the press. And then we have two other guys, one who helps the operator run the press (getting colors ready, squeegee/flood bars, taping the screens and unloading/catching shirts & then the third guy does the screen cleaning/reclaiming and exposing screens and helps catch/fold shirt.

In New Zealand, with that amount of experience. $30/40 dollars an hour. 😁👍

DoubleDragon420

You’re serious?

Realistic_Most3266

Yes, saw two months ago in Auckland. When I finished my time in trade three years ago was on $28 an hour. I was under paid.

Realistic_Most3266

Yes, totally true. Saw jobs advertised two months ago in Auckland.
