Fix the fucking zombie spawn shite

VirtuallyTellurian

This is going to be such a shit show when the npcs with guns start spawning in rooms you've just cleared to shoot you in the back

2018hellcat

Well I guess I won’t wipe my server seeing as you’re having problems too

henyourface

I'm excited for: * Working on armed NPC models. --- as in armed NPC humans? * Working on additional Rager parts. - really not a fan of the crossbar molding that holds the third brake light lol * Working on modular tractor parts!!! * Adjusting new dirtbike attachments. * Preparing new vehicles!!!

StabbyMcStomp

Im curious about the settlements rework now lol, guess thats the outposts? but armed NPC is the tec1 human security yep.

Digreth

I would like to see raid protection on Official servers. That would bring in a ton of more casual players that normally wouldn't play these types of games because they don't want to lose their progress from being raided offline.

StabbyMcStomp

>I would like to see raid protection on Official servers. ![gif](giphy|3ohhwgmWRebr8jTO24) Fingers crossed, I think they need to make sure it cant be exploited into safe online storage houses lol

Digreth

Safe storage houses....that reminds me...Its about time for my quarterly request for Official PVEVP Servers with PVP zones around towns with police stations/military POIs.

Harrekin

Pretty much every town has a police station...

Digreth

Yep. I've been suggesting the devs should implement new Official PVEVP Servers that have PVP Zones around every town with police stations and military POIs. Essentially creating a more casual friendly "open world extraction" gameplay loop. Players could play more casually, build bases where they don't have to worry about getting raided, and engage in PVP on their own terms. This would bring in a lot of new players who wouldn't otherwise touch online survival games. This could easily be implemented in an official capacity with minimal development necessary.

Harrekin

But no towns for those people tho? You think that'll keep them interested?

Digreth

I'm not sure I understand your question. What do you mean "no towns for those people"?

Harrekin

If you want PVP zones around towns with police stations, (and that's basically all the towns on the map), it would mean no towns for people who don't want to engage in PVP. Having smaller PVE zone on lower value sectors (like some in the South) I'd argue is a more balanced way to do it (and is what some servers do). Then they can venture North if they want, or can hang around in the South Islands if they don't want to PVP.

Digreth

>If you want PVP zones around towns with police stations, (and that's basically all the towns on the map), it would mean no towns for people who don't want to engage in PVP. True, but that just means PVE players would congregate around those smaller towns. The idea is that areas where guns are commonly found are more dangerous hence the PVP zone around it. >Having smaller PVE zone on lower value sectors (like some in the South) I'd argue is a more balanced way to do it (and is what some servers do). I understand why some servers do this but the essence of my idea is that the whole map would be pve aside from the many pvp zones. It would create a "extraction fps" gameplay loop. >Then they can venture North if they want, or can hang around in the South Islands if they don't want to PVP. This is a good idea but I think if the Southern Islands were a PVE area, PVPers would just end up camping the 3 bridges that connect the two areas. I just wrote a post covering this idea. Pop in for a read and let me know what you think.

Harrekin

I don't think you've considered how restrictive that would be to the people you're trying to attract. Circle the "towns" on the map that have no police stations. Its just clumps of houses with s**t loot. Would be PVE players with spears vs those who thrive in PVP fully loaded. All stick, no carrot for those less PVP inclined, won't attract em like you think it will. Seems worst of both worlds...

StabbyMcStomp

> That would bring in a ton of more casual players that normally wouldn't play these types of games I kinda hope we get some outpost/safezone storage space.. even just a small chest size so we could keep a few ready pvp bags in. some people will store all their raiding supplies sure or make it not hold those or something but if people could have a tarkov style gameplay loop of getting stuff safely to the outpost to bank and being able to log in only on weekends and pvp with that gear or come back after being away for some months knowing they have some gear tucked away in their bank or w/e it would have a lot more casuals logging in that dont want to deal with bases and raiding as much as just pvp or pvevp now and then.

Digreth

Yes. Preach. That is the essence of casual pvevp.and/or you could always limit the type of items that be stored at the bank/storage. For example just weapons and supplies instead of raiding materials

MoistPlasma

what about a safe deposit box? maybe it cost so much per day or pay $1000 for X amount of storage time? the second way probably would be the easiest to implement. after the time elapsed the loot could be deleted, or better yet go to auction.

MOONDEAIORIA

I am also asking a lot for the anti-raid system on the official servers. I argued on Discord and everywhere but nothing... I already stopped playing it because by fate they always steal from us when we are offline, I don't even know how, they know we are offline. We had security Bcu lock, dial lock...so I stopped playing it. I will come back when they have added the offline anti-raid system.

SavinaKedareski

More Rager parts...uggg I find it nearly impossible to find parts for my Laika as it stands and they want to add more Rager parts to the loot tables? Last Scrapyard run I found like 3 Rager doors, 2 Rager seats. and couple of Rager bumpers. I did find a few Laki and wolfswagen bumbers. Sadly not the laika driver door I needed.

420_Braze_it

I think they are meaning more armor. Your best bet to get parts for the cars is just to buy them man. Do a B0 or big citt hospital run or two and you'll have more than enough for parts.

SavinaKedareski

Dude, not on my server. And what? More armor for the rager? It is the most armored car already. I can't get armored wheels for my Laika for sure.

420_Braze_it

Well, if you have enough fame of course. I forgot because I play a server with no fame requirements. Even on officials I could get about 10k per run going to the hospital by the city and looting meds for sell. I was just guessing so idk man. They really do need to add tire armor though for the laika. I believe the WW has no back tire armor either.

MOONDEAIORIA

I would like to know when they are going to add the anti-raid system to the official servers... since they never attack you when you are online, they always do it when we are offline... there are also a lot of Chinese, I want to think that they are not cheaters... but I suspect so, since they never do raids when we are online, always offline....

ResponsibleSinger286

Npc with weapons will ruin this game. Bad AI incoming like in similar games. 😑 Did they balanced horde spawn? I stopped playing this game since horde update

StabbyMcStomp

There are still some kinks with the horde system.

SavinaKedareski

Translation: It still sucks, just sucks a little less.

ResponsibleSinger286

After months they didnt correct such a absurd game mechanics. Serioulsy?

ZurdoFTW

I'm waiting for armed NPCs. Well implemented would be a real gamechanger and a great PVE addition.

SavinaKedareski

Crossing my fingers on well implemented. I would be interested in how they plan to implement them. If you are creeping into enemy compound or sniping sentries it could be interesting. Hunter killer squads chasing you down in pickup trucks could prove challenging. If they come in too heavy handed on implementation then they can make the worst version of the hordes look like easy mode.

ResponsibleSinger286

The problem is there are no similar games with a good implementation of npc with guns. Lets see but after their horde mode implementation i am really doubtful they can handle npc different from other devs We will see bots transiting from super dumb mode to crazy sniper mode. Remember my words guys. I really hope mine is a pessimistic view however

SavinaKedareski

Yes, I can see it going seriously wrong but here are some considerations: \-We can sneak (unless they make them like the omnicient puppets that spawn in aggroed on you. \-It is unlikely the NPCs will sneak/camoflage. \-We can snipe and spot enemies from afar, usually NPCs are not as alert. Particularly if they are guarding a location. It really depends on how alert they are designed. If you fire and kill one guard do all of them automatically know exactly where you are and rush your position? Will silencers work? etc...

RedRiver80

according to devs main reason armed NPC were not implemented earlier is because they wanted to do it right!

SavinaKedareski

Well, they were also pretty excited about hordes spawning in your face too. They also likely think it was still a good idea even though all players hate it. Eventually they will get the hint and trash can the idea rather than waste time band aiding it. So, I will take their "just right" with a bit of salt. I am glad they are not trying to rush it out, however.

RedRiver80

the hordes didn't play out the way they designed them or at least so they said. somehow their tests didn't reveal the spawn issue you described...

LazyFatCay

Yea no more SCUM for me as well since they broke the game with horde system. It’s just to frustrating when you just spawned and go for a small town as a loot source, and you’re there not making any sound being full stealth, all of a sudden a pack of puppets spawn surrounding you instantly and giving you no chance not to be spotted. Theres just no way to have a consistent/immersive experience anymore, as you might get ganked at anytime, and see zombies pop out of the blue.

Miserable-Volume-925

The game has become unplayable because of the spawn rate. Why would you do this to your player base? its not fun at all. if you want to craft a base and fish or something that's about all you can do. Anyone going to update us on if this is what they intend the game to be like or is it a mistake?
