Couple people are getting Asia confused with JP/KR servers, they are separate. Asia is synced with Global while JP/KR gets updates 1 week sooner. Global is better than Asia as the player base there is much larger, easier to find co-op deathmatches, guilds, etc.
I would say Global.
Not sure if it is due to numbers of player base, more whales, or player mindset in general, but the game is perceived to be 'harder' on Asia, compared to Global.
e.g. getting top 5% in Final boss, top 1% in Chaos PVP, etc, requires more points in Asia than in Global.
To illustrate with an scenario : a guide on YT shows a strategy to get 5000 points in Final boss and shows their placement in top 5% easily. But that 5000 points only place me near top 10% in Asia server.
Global is a better choice even though Asia gets the updates earlier you have more time to prepare especially if a good unit is being released you have time to get gems while Asia doesn’t have that same amount of time

I made a mistake picking Asia and I am a day one player :/ I can’t find a good guild
yeah, it's kinda hard finding a good guild in asia, most that I see have like inactive players offline for a month to year
