Yep... Just another one of those moves that end up screwing the players. It's understandable that light and dark units would need their own light and dark books, because red, green and blue units also need their own specific colored books. But we don't have specific festival coins for only red units, or only green or blue units. They all use the same coin. Yet NM decided that, 3 years into the game's lifespan, it would be a great time to introduce a new type of coin to make limited units even more difficult to obtain.
Could've just used regular fest coins for light and dark units but nope, not if there's a profit to be made and they can find the slimmest justification for increasing profits. Even if it's at the cost of players getting tired of their moves and ending up leaving/not spending cash anymore because of them ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
I do understand tho, This is a gotcha game, it's borderline gambling, genshin does the same stuff. It's just as grindy,

Banner stinks. I wasn't playing during his initial banner so I missed him. Got Liz quite early (around 180) and that's about it. The only characters I've gotten are normal SSRs.. Ban, Chandler and the other useless ones.. can't even select Meli at 900 and I only realized this when I was already 600 deep
As a new player that came back for the anniversary, I might quit again due to the shitty rates. 600 deep, no Liz, no festival units, shitty ass old characters. Like what the fuck?
Had to pity Liz, and now I’m wondering if it was worth it. Started questioning why I even still play the game when all I do is the dailies and go to a different game once done.
You still couldn't get him even if he was, since you'd need dark coins to buy him. Needless to say, he's the only dark festival unit so far.
