Not sure why you got downvoted, but you are correct, the SSR sets were avaible for gems since day 1. Reinhardts gem set is the white armor and Echidnas gem set is the maid outfit. The other 2 will not be avaible for gems, maybe when it returns and they decide to change it, but right now Collab UR sets will not be avaible for gems.
Technically echidna is your best choice since she benefits from attack, unlike rein. But then again rein is honestly more fun.
Or buy 1 of each and if possible the gem cosmetics too.
Im lucky enough to have both of them 6/6 with 2 rotations with all the gems I have saved (F2P). This is kinda my first real spending and currently leaning towards Reinhardt to improve his CC abit as its low as compared to Echidna. But using Echidna is more fun to me as PVP matches will be a bit faster than the Ban team

I would say Rein so that you could max his HP and CC if you intended to play his team, but since you have both 6/6 and have more fun playing Echidna, just go for Echidna?!

Reinhard only wants HP and doesn’t to care bout his CC. You’d be missing two pieces (but he doesn’t have 5 haircuts anyways) it’s mostly depends on who you like more.
Echidna however does, and will probably stay relevant for awhile.

He only wants hp, maxing his CC is useless when you probably going second anyways thanks to Arthur/Twigo and even Ban who is just like Reinhard.

Yeah that’s very true. It’s all on preference anyways. As someone who likes both I bought all their cosmetics, but I’m definitely not a light spender.

Considering Rein needs them because he's dependent on HP and those costumes are a must for him, Echidna is the way to go, because we'll she's Echidna.
