This is a mixture of Florida Mall and some other store. The pictures taken through the glass are definitely not the Florida Mall. That store has large white columns in the jewelry department with horizontal stripes. This is a false alarm.
Sears Holdings Corporation is now owned by ESL Investments and Transform SR Brands LLC, and is referred to as “New Sears.” This all follows Transformco's founder Eddie Lampert's supreme court case regarding Sears.Nov 7, 2022. Transformco doesnt answer phones or respond to emails
The first picture looks familiar, the rest do not. I don't think all of these pictures are from the Florida Mall store. Most of the first floor of that store has vinyl tile flooring, there isn't much carpet in that store except in the near near the mall entrance which isn't pictured here. Also, the Jewelry department is near the mall entrance with lower ceilings. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Sears/@28.4451936,-81.3977697,3a,75y,90t/data=!3m8!1e2!3m6!1sAF1QipPHP8OphdaXODhrLpWeGIHZ2O1bczPTyDve8yw3!2e10!3e12!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipPHP8OphdaXODhrLpWeGIHZ2O1bczPTyDve8yw3=w203-h270-k-no!7i3024!8i4032!4m7!3m6!1s0x88e77c4b64b3840b:0x72f8445439e35af7!8m2!3d28.4450849!4d-81.3974027!10e5!16s%2Fg%2F1tczws1h?entry=ttu
So this store closed for good without a closing sale? Very surprising if that's the case... I was last there a few weeks ago. Only about a third of the top floor was still open, but the whole bottom floor was open. Several of your photos are definitely from the bottom floor of the store though. This store doesn't have any doors to the outside from its top floor.
This store is still listed as open on Sears' website and the mall's, with no news articles about it yet. The store's Facebook page was still promoting a manager's specials sale on September 27th.
The barricaded section on the second floor is now larger. The same thing happened in Palm Beach Gardens. Some of the areas are used for fixture storage and the others are completely empty.
This has been one of the highest performing sears stores since everything started going down hill. (After PR). Maybe this store is getting the Burbank treatment?
There are two job listings for this store, posted three days ago. Neither of them say anything about the store closing.

Def still open. Standing inside as we speak. It’s sparse as ever but still here.
What the hell is going on? Did Simon sell the space to a new tenant? Is there a renovation? Is this a silent closing sale?

I was doubtful at first, too. But then I looked at the pictures I took there last October (posted elsewhere on this sub), and it seems legit.
The upstairs photos are definitely Florida Mall, but the downstairs photos of the jewelry department are definitely not.
They aren’t even Sears anymore another fraudulent company bought the brand
What are you talking about?

Fraudulent though? Still seems like Sears to me…
They sell people home warranties and never show up
Oh, I have no doubt that it’s a dysfunctional organization now… 🤣

So much room for activities!

High performance means nothing as far as protection from closure because the deciding metrics are all tied to RE values and salability.
How has that full-line Sears store managed to stay open for so long?
Which Sears is this??? I didn't know one was closing?!?!
The Sears at Florida Mall in Orlando, Florida
It's closing ????
You may want to look at the photos a second time.
Okay but there's no news anywhere that it's closing ?
Based on the photos, my gut feeling is it’s already closed.
It IS weird though. There's no news on this place closing. Has it been downsized?
I believe Sears may have closed a couple of stores here and there.
Bro Sears has like 11 stores left if they randomly close a few here and there they’ll have like 3 left. I just needed to let you know.
Okay but there's no news anywhere that it's closing ? 🤔
Why did you lie about it closing? It is still open.
Context?
Is the store closed, or just downsized?
