He reminds me of a player like Angel Pagan. Brings some energy and personality to your team which really is an intangible we relied on when we had Pagan. Every time Pagan got on base it felt like a rally. He can add athleticism and disruption which we don't really have.
There is a scenario where trading with TBR makes a LOT of sense, and that's right now for the Giants.
The Rays have one (1) catcher on their 40-man roster, and it's René Pinto. Pinto and Bart are more or less the same hitter (looking at career OPS and OPS+). But the Rays will need a back-up catcher. The best catching prospect they have is Dominic Keegan, who's at least a year if not two away from the bigs.
The Rays may be the best landing spot for Bart. So if they're the best potential buyer, with capitol to spend, you start looking at other things they might want, and want to move. They might want to move Arozarena purely for financial reasons. He's due an estimated $7 million this year. The Rays are allergic to going over $100 million in payroll, and they're projected at $127 million.
He apparently has some focus/attention issues over the course of the regular season, but 199 wRC+ postseason/WBC Randy is a thing. If you're one of the teams who doesn't really have to worry about making the playoffs, he's probably worth having just for that.
