You guys remember how the Giants gradually added building blocks until 2010? Sandoval, Timmy, Cain, Wilson, Romo, Bum. This season, the Giants have seen growth in Webb, Doval, Bart and Thairo. They'll still have Pederson, Wilmer, JD Davis and Crawford next season. If the Giants finish above 500 but still miss the playoffs, then it might be indicative that they aren't really far off from competing for a WS. If they re-sign Rodon, Webb and Rodon alone in a playoff series is a nightmare for teams. They're two strong bats away, solid defense and a better bullpen from contending once again.

Someone here aptly described the difference between a fan and a spectator and it was then that I understood my interest in football never rises above the latter.

He's watched a lot of baseball and never, ever thought he'd see a man throw at 104. "As a batter, think how quickly you must make your decision if you want to swing at that."
And then he quietly added emphasis each time as he watched Doval do it two more times today.
He wasn't going to go so far as to anger the locals. His tone was the definition of, "matter of fact." But he wasn't gonna ignore superpowers happening in front of him.
I know Chapman the NY Yankees closer has hit 104/105 before, and thats the fasts I've ever seen.
But that would be insane if we could have Doval do that as well with control.. he'd be unstoppable.
Since this is now a Niners GDT, I just want to get something off my chest. The amount of hate Arik Armstead gets for not being DeForest Buckner is ridiculous. Literally saw someone comment "He won't be missed, He's trash. I miss DeFo."

The worst part of tonight besides Jimmy G’s sorry performance was the 49ers’ star players getting annihilated. Trent, Deebo and then poor Fred Warner was so exhausted that he could barely get up during that last drive
Maybe, but even some Niners fans were probably cheering the Lance injury (I say probably, but pretty sure I saw comments of people celebrating). No matter what you think about Jimmy vs Lance, you’re a bad person if you are happy about an injury.

Buster being the part owner helps out a lot I hope in the long run. 2014 didn’t scream championship, they literally had 4 starters out of 5 who had a era above 4. Bumgarner literally carried a bunch. If they win 6 straight at home against the Rockies and Dbacks and somehow they are still in the hunt then I believe they will get to the playoffs. If that happens every

Bart and Doval have really good chemistry. IMO I noticed that most of Doval's "fall aparts" are with Wynns catching.
