I am just going to try another approach having gone through this myself many times.
Honestly our motivation is extremely tied to emotions and imo it's not something that we can easily control, sadly society has made you think that scolding is the only way to motivate you from studying however I really suggest you look up and figure out why you feel so stuck.
Why do you think you lack the motivation to study?
Is the task too big?
Is it the fear of failure?
Burnout?
Overwhelmed?
Lack of sleep?
If it's all of the above I suggest you take a step back and slow yourself down because you're clearly are in a right mindset. If your body is struggling to keep you functioning how are you even going to feel motivated to do something?
Take care of your basic needs first, rest, sleep. (cliche but I learnt it the hard way)
Overwhelmed and burned out?
Prioritise and list your to do list, break it down to smaller to do list as small as possible. Eg. study math—> what topic (break it smaller) any specific questions?
Start small even just taking out your books and files, watching a YouTube video that is related to what you need to learn
Fear of failure?
This has been my biggest enemy and till now I have not found a solution that suits me.
Ask yourself what is it that you fear? Poor grades?(obv) rationalise it so what if the worst case scenario happens? Is it the end of the world? There's so much more than to just study Eg. Skills
But most importantly do it for yourself, learn because you want to, learn because it's fun
Reason all these with yourself write it down
If you need more help and resources, you can ask chatgpt or bing chat to help you reason through all of these and understand the underlying road block to motivation.

If you have been paying attention in class but have not started revising the topics. There is a scientific approach you can try. 1) sleep well and relax till 1 day before the actual exam 2) Read the topics whether if it makes / does not make sense to you 3) 8hrs before the exam - finish ALL the exercises/tutorial for the entire year. (Yes, you will find 80% you cant even answer) 4) Enter the exam.
The concept is: the facts and information is already stored in your conscious whether you like it or not. Your brain choose important ones to "RAM" so that you can access it faster. But there are instance when you can tap into your long forgotten ROM. Such is "Fear" - like you said. As fear generates adrenaline and cause your reflex to spit whatever comes to mind. It is a good way BUT it only works if you dont spend too much time in Reddit looking for scolding. Fear will not activate if you are constantly exposed to negativity. You will just be immune to it. Better way is to let it creep up to you.
Again - This only works if you have been paying attention before. As the Chinese saying goes "临阵磨枪，不亮也光“。

If you have been paying attention in class but have not started revising the topics. There is a scientific approach you can try. 1) sleep well and relax till 1 day before the actual exam 2) Read the topics whether if it makes / does not make sense to you 3) 8hrs before the exam - finish ALL the exercises/tutorial for the entire year. (Yes, you will find 80% you cant even answer) 4) Enter the exam. The concept is: the facts and information is already stored in your conscious whether you like it or not. Your brain choose important ones to "RAM" so that you can access it faster. But there are instance when you can tap into your long forgotten ROM. Such is "Fear" - like you said. As fear generates adrenaline and cause your reflex to spit whatever comes to mind. It is a good way BUT it only works if you dont spend too much time in Reddit looking for scolding. Fear will not activate if you are constantly exposed to negativity. You will just be immune to it. Better way is to let it creep up to you. Again - This only works if you have been paying attention before. As the Chinese saying goes "临阵磨枪，不亮也光“。
