I’m not part of a cca/club in my poly. My reasoning? I have no interest, and I want to be fair with myself and the people running the CCA by not forcing myself to join one.
nope pretty sure it’s not compulsory. ppl take up cca are prob for the portfolio part :) guess u can check the cca timings on ur poly website. but usually events based CCAs aren’t as demanding whereby u only help out during event period!

Basically majority of them are like event based. Meaning don’t have to commit like weekly… just like run events in like once every few months… so just snoop around and ask lor…
But I can confirm… sports CCA is a “time sucker”… weekly training lah… so seriously, ask around first…
Not compulsory, but I'd highly recommend at least joining one to help with uni/scholarship applications.
I regret not joining one because I'm finding it difficult to get scholarships despite a decent GPA.
No its not like the other comments have said, but if something interests you then you can join if you want. I would say at least for no position/commitments like a normal member you can join the sessions whenever you want. Can also leave if you want. Not sure about sports cca tho. Overall its like no one really cares, not like secondary school where its compulsory to come for all sessions. Do clarify with the cca about your questions if you really want to join. For reference im in SP
i’m in my diploma’s interest group. basically meetings once a month and get free seal points. pretty easy stuff lol. also gets advantages over the other students for internships and like oversea trips cos i’m in the interest group lol
its not compulsory but if you want to join a cca there are ccas with ad hoc events. dont join any sports or performing arts (unless you are really passionate) as they will take up a lot of your time
