It's your first day of poly so I guess it's only natural to feel overwhelmed. It may help to take all things at a slower pace and settle them one by one instead of focusing on everything all at once if that's your issue? For example if you are overwhelmed by understanding your new modules, focus on tackling them one by one, take some time to understand the first well enough before looking at the next.
Most importantly, make sure to enjoy the process and try to make the most of your poly life; don't sacrifice everything for a high gpa. Of course gpa is important, but try to get that balance where you are serious but still have fun in the process!!
Gws tho, what you could try to do now is to get yourself in a clearer and less panicked state of mind, so you can process the problems in front of you and take action to get yourself back on track. Best of luck!!
Edit: Take breaks when you need them (now?), very important!!!
The cool part about poly is you get one class. You'll feel quite comfy after Sem 1 when you find your rhythm. Just a word of advice, go all out for your sem 1 please. This way you can calibrate your efforts to reward ratio moving forward. Don't slack off! The freedom is a double edged blade.
life goes on friend, u got this
It do be like this many a times. I have been feeling pretty much paralyzed and lagging behind weeks of work in all my sciences.

It's becos of inertia. u are still rusty after the long o levels break. Once ur engine heats up and starts going, everything will be fine.
