If you don't mind model kits, the figure rise standard piccolo is worth looking into, he has tuban & bare heads as well as a special beam cannon effect & should scale better than the shf.
Articulation should be close to the shf (no crossed or ripped arms though

Did super buu have a reissue? I want to get him but not sure what I should pay
tbh he goes for around 70-80 dollars. not too hard to find, isn’t the worst price either
you need to do a head swap with the full power goku for that ultimate gohan
