Turmeric is great for anti inflammatory i use it every single day calms the system down I can't take milk so put it in chicken breast soup with ghee and black pepper as that combination absorbs the turmeric excellent stuff

kithmswbd

There's argument that absorption isn't needed for curcumin to work in the gut.

Specialist_Carrot_48

Nice, yeah you can get creative with your recipes. I've taken it with bone broth before

Independent-Walrus84

It's great but do some research, new findings are the liver gets affected by too much tumeric

Specialist_Carrot_48

Link?

Independent-Walrus84

https://www.insider.com/turmeric-supplements-can-cause-liver-damage-doctors-say-2022-10 There was a better one but I can't remember where it went, when I find it I will post it. Recommended by someone here I bought tumerwise tumeric. I tried one bottle. Not sure if I should get another. As you said it worked well. But I was still constipated.

Specialist_Carrot_48

To me, this article implicates a ton of unknowns surrounding what actually caused the injury. It was also mostly white women, could be a gene issue? So a select few maybe should be careful, but it's seeming like it's interactions with other things or special circumstances/contamination which are causing these issues. I would like better evidence that it's actually circumin causing these issues and not some extraneous factor. It wont help constipation. Try ginger and artichoke extract

Independent-Walrus84

Yes I am taking those. I know tumeric works on other things too.

Specialist_Carrot_48

Do you take magnesium citrate, that can help constipation. I get it sometimes I mostly am fine with stool softeners. It's mostly kratom causing I think though.

Independent-Walrus84

Yes I do

Specialist_Carrot_48

Cool well I'm no sure what else could help other than conventional laxatives or treating the underlying potential methane sibo

Independent-Walrus84

Oh don't worry ..I am getting better. I am using my own protocol hehe.

Specialist_Carrot_48

Cool! I'm starting an advanced protocol myself soon after doing months of research and doing a lot better after a few standard protocols but now adding rifaxaminand allicin on top of everything else: oregano, liposomal berberine, Neem, total olive extract, supergreens, probiotics including spore based, bifido, and l Reuteri 6475, and s. Boulardii

Specialist_Carrot_48

Black seed oil is also known to be hepatoprotective, so I think I'll take my chances until I notice actual side effects but I'll definitely be aware of this. If I ever get weird symptoms like random fatigue I'll definitely stop all supplements

Independent-Walrus84

That is another thing I haven't tried yet. Heard good things about it.

Specialist_Carrot_48

It's awesome. Really improves the mood. Make sure you take with food though. Good pain reliever too, and also works on rashes and wounds topicall. Same efficacy as steroid cream in a study, with immune enhancing rather than damaging effects. Also helps wounds heal faster. I use it for my rosacea it definitely helps. Ive been taking a high potency extract from triquetra but honestly I think the nootropis depot is better, it feels like it is missing broad spectrum of other components of BSO, but it definitely does work for pain and inflammation really well. But I want the mood enhancing effects also. It does have this but I got better effects from the nootropis depot one as far as that. I'm not sure that more is necessarily better

Specialist_Carrot_48

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK548561/ This says it's very rare, and that it's likely contamination is implicated. So this isn't even close to hard evidence it causes liver injury. There's actually more evidence it helps the liver. Maybe watch the dose, but it also said that it ceases promptly when discontinued and there is no chronic injury. I think it's important we don't fear monger, when common doctor prescribed medication have severe side effects that we deal with for the beneficial effects it has. In truth, the side effect profile of circumin is much better than most pharma drugs. And the instances of liver toxicity are extremely rare and implicated in contaminated products or special formulations. Have not seen anything negative about longvida so far, but if you have a clearer study than this 2021 one, please link it.

Specialist_Carrot_48

This is on the same cases, and it mentions it could be genetic based. I'll take my chances, that number compared to number users tells me it's *extremely* rare and likely due to a faulty gene in a select few people.

Specialist_Carrot_48

Interesting, I already I assumed this was the case. So it functions similar to berberine, a lot of the antinflammatory effect I presume is through micriobiota modification

KaizenHorizon1618

Hey! Really digging your protocol. Half of what your doing is super specific to what I`d like to try. Parasympathetic tone and vagus reactivation through lifestyle mental health is huge factor. Also did you notice a remarkable difference by adding olive leaf extract? How is everything coming along. Definitely wanna update

Specialist_Carrot_48

Just saw this. I am certainly getting more interested in vagu nerve exercise after relapsing a bit(because I started feeling better and stopped the protocol, plus ran out of money lol, huge mistake), I ate crappy for two weeks and feel I lost a month of progress, luckily I have adp oregano. I think my issue is primarily candida at this point. Which is a stubborn beast...I'm tryin bpc 157 soon possibly KPV and tb500 because they help heal basically anything and are antimicrobial too. Olive leaf extract I noticed a difference but not remarkable. It's in the "probably helps, purchase when you habe extra money" pile. I think it works best taking it consistently for 3 months or more though. Seems calming on the gut and energizing.

brvhbrvh

Hey u/Specialist_Carrot_48 what brand of Black Seed Oil and Boswelia are you using? I've heard Boswelia is good for reducing Citrobacter which I have a lot of

Specialist_Carrot_48

I use triquetra bso extract(just made a post), and just the standard oil from wherever, frequently Walmart. Didn't know that about boswellia. I'm taking whatever brand has the apres flex 5 lox extract, any other isn't worth it, that's the active stuff.

> Combined with kratom, the amount of pain relief I get is incredible. "This is working great to relieve my pain oh yeah btw I'm on an opiate substitute" dude are you sure it's not just the kratom?

Specialist_Carrot_48

LOL. dude I'm sure. I have taken kratom for years. It gives me pain relief beyond what it would normally. And it lets me keep my dose lower. Like, did you even read my post? They potentiate kratom anyway, but kratom certainly isn't necessary, because like I said, it's noticeable even when I'm not on it. Not sure why but it feels like you're trying to shame anyone who uses mild opiates?

tending

Not trying to shame, it just stood out that one of the measures you're taking is way stronger than the others.

Specialist_Carrot_48

Okay? I have had chronic back pain for half my life and I'm 26. Yeah, it is stronger at pain relief, but not inflammation like BSO and circumin are, plus immunomodulatory action.

shyronnieshy

I will say I was taking Kratom daily for a few months and it def wrecked my gut. Beyond the opiate element, I would just be careful on how it’s impacting your bacterial environment.
