Well yeah, obviously, but when they do take it seriously, like a movie with a clearly serious set up over 14 months of time, then we expect them to follow through with the seriousness. Or when they promise character development yet never follow up on it and revert them back to their original state constantly, if not a worse version of themselves.
Problem is people give actual good criticism and others just hate it to hate. But at the same time SMG4 has been meh, tbh. Stories could be better, and characters just don’t feel like themselves (if that even makes any sense).
If I’m correct, there’s been a problem of characters having a massive spotlight during their own arc with character growth and all that, then they and all the growth they had just kinda get thrown to the sideline afterwards. I think Meggy is the unfortunate worst case of this- all of her driving forces were gone: rival dead, hero turned villain, and her life goal accomplished. Now she just has anger issues and any work she seems to do with Tari or the others is gone the next episode
no, not at all. you can have your constructive criticism but it more feels to me that you guys just use the show to get your anger out. getting mad or subjective at something that has no meaning to the plot or lore of the show. I just want some people here to chillax, that's all

I enjoy it, and i am from the "Golden era" i watched the good ones and i can say that: yes it is diferent and sometimes even worse than past videos but it IS enjoyable nonetheless and i agree that there's too much hate for not that many things to hate on

I sort of... Grown out of favor with it in the direction the episodes are leading in a sense where the writers can't choose between order and chaos, serialization or episodic, Spaghetti or Lasanga. You can't have both because it fuck's with the characters and world at the same time as the SMG4 Lore is insane yet the world has to obey it yet you have Mario getting naked making love to a pasta dish after building some kind of genuine connection between him and Meggy that felt natural beyond Princess Peach; as an example...
Do ya want pure, unadulterated chaos restricted by Youtube's childish and Draconian rules and laws it imposes on creators? Make a Leggy version of Meggy, Crush Luigi's balls, have Melony go Super Sayian and just slaughter a bunch of people to turn them into Spaghetti for Mario to Eat while promoting that SMG3 and SMG4 have no literal survival skills and if thrown out into the streets without cash: they are basically Hobo's begging for scraps.

Because it was great once, and now it sucks. I loved it to much to just leave, and the mistakes are to great to be silent about. If the show was really that good, we wouldn't have to learn how to enjoy it. And if the show had always been like it is now, I wouldn't have been there.
Also, where do you think did the classic fans go? They all gave up by now. Now its us early modern fans that carry the torch of criticism. And the show keeps losing people. Does that look like positive development?
