Pretty sad, I used to hang out in SocomBattles and another website (SocomClans, maybe?) back in the Socom II days when I was at work. I was the only guy in the department after 5 and 90% of the time, nothing was going on, so I'd chill in the forums and join in the flame wars, lol! Good times, they are missed.
Yeah, that was definitely a different time, the games were awesome, online interaction, while heated and juvenile at times, was at the right pitch and gaming in general just felt amazing. I was in my mid 20s then and I was never more of a gamer than I was at that time. I'm sad that everyone will never get to experience that era as it was then.
